I don't know what the naming rights around Visy Park are ATM/in the future, but I would suggest a freezing of the ovals name as Visy Park for AT LEAST 10 years, MINIMUM, would be a fitting tribute to the great man and the MASSIVE contribution he has had for the club. Lets face it, without Pratt we would be screwed !!!!!!!!

..and the money comes from where?

Nice to see that the papers are reporting the facts (no case to answer), and not making up bullshit (only dropped for ill health)to feed to the ferals.

Oh wait, they are! :donk:

"LATE yesterday, a smiling Jeanne Pratt leaned across the bed of her dying husband and billionaire Richard Pratt in their Raheen mansion and whispered the words he desperately hoped to hear: that he was free of all criminal charges.

A frail Mr Pratt nodded back at her. Then the ailing businessman and philanthropist began to weep. Jeanne embraced her sobbing husband of almost 50 years and also burst into tears. "........

'The Pratt legal camp recently sought a supplementary opinion on the case from Ian Callinan QC who delivered a scathing assessment of the case, concluding that the "oppressive, improperly and ill-conceived prosecution should be discontinued"........

Mr Pratt's lawyers argued the ACCC had misled and deceived the billionaire because it did not reveal that while he was negotiating to settle the cartel case in 2007, the regulator was contemplating criminal prosecution. '

Im sure the club no doubt will think of ways to honor the 'grandfather' of Carlton (as the boys refer to him) but the greatest honor of all is winning a premiership that Dick so wanted to see.

We owe it to him and his family.

I might be missing something here but I didn't think this decision changed the result of the original case (the result of which triggered Pratt's returning of the OA).

This decision means that he won't be charged for lying to during the original investigation but doesn't change the result of the price fixing case.

Or have I missed something? :?

I thought Dick relinquished the OA once the ACCC launched these proceedings, but I may be wrong.

In any case... if he's deemed worthy of a personal visit by the Prime Minister, then I think he's also worthy of a Queen's Birthday gong.

Just did a quick check.

He handed back the gongs in February last year when he found out the awards organisation was probing into his situation.

The ACCC launched the criminal charges in June.

Watchdog - what a f%$#ing joke.

They're down the back corner of the backyard barking at shadows while burglars are inside the house disconnecting the plasma.

Harsh Deano, they're doing wonders in ensuring there's competition when it comes to fuel prices, grocery prices and.......why are you laughing?

Well, they ensure that there is always a new excuse for why fuel is going up or not coming down - I'll give you that

But cardboard was where it was at, everyone one the street wanted the cardboard cartel brought down. I know I'm saving big bucks now
