Chris Johnson is a big con. His kicking was shocking, plus the injury doesn't help at all.

Is that an oxymoron???

Was thinking the same thing. Only one change IMHO and that is it.

Pros:

- Murphy, sensational
- Simpson, much improved and had his best game of the year
- Krezuer, going to be a champion
- Bower funning off half back was great again
- Jamison, just adds balance to the side and plays with great poise too
- Houlihan was good too
- Joseph continues to show some good things
- Setanta had a hand in a few things

Cons:

- Johnson, didnt we recruit him cause of his kicking? Shocking in the 1st half, lucky not to cost us some more goals
- Thornton continues to struggle on big opponents
- Stevo is a bit of a worry
- Umpires were absolutely shocking
- Could have won by around 70 points but stopped at the end

Pros: all good

Cons: that idiot Ox carrying on about Setanta and Clokey every time they went near each other. Old news ox, show some originality by calling the flowering footy. :banghead:

Interesting how quickly people jumped on JR as a con when they could, but refuse to recognise when he has good matches.....

Pro: We beat a team that we needed to beat.

Con: Percentage is so important come finals time, we really should have ripped them apart in that last quarter.

So his continuing improvement can't be considered a Pro?

Some people need to have a bloody hard look at themselves.

He is the one of the most consistent tacklers we have. Is hard at it, puts his had over the ball and is a wonderful kick. Much maligned player.

I reckon Grigg straight in for Johnson.

If Grigg doesn't come up, then it's between Hadley, Joey, Robbo & Browne. If we can get the right match up, I'd go with Joey. Otherwise, I'd lean towards Hadley because I think we need another hard nut vs the Dawks. And I think he'd prefer playing at the 'G than the Dome.

PROS:
Apart from the straight kicking, the big feature was the way the boys ran the ball through the centre corridor after playing far too wide the previous two weeks.

Jamo freed up Waite and Thornton and Bower was able to take a lesser opponent.

He is NOT a ruckman but Setanta brought much needed versatility to the team and was useful at both ends of the ground. At CHF, he doesn't have such a wide turning circle as Cloke and catches out quite a few opponents with his sharp change of direction. Might not be one of our best 22 players but should always be in the 22.

CON:
Johnson - Apart from all the turnovers, he doesn't run the ball like Scotland, Simpson, Armfield, Waite, Thornton, Joseph, Bower or just about any of the other possible defenders.

Possibly, but I think I'm entitled to point out the massive holes in some peoples' logic occasionally.
