RICHARD Pratt didn't remake Carlton so much as restore the club to what it had been before its descent into debt and despair.

Carlton had fallen steeply from bluebloods to beggars when Pratt arrived, and it had lost more than just dollars. The club's modern success was predicated upon money and swaggering self-esteem. Pre-Pratt, the Blues had misplaced those intrinsic Carlton commodities.

I wish someone had the time, the money and the inclination to print a T-Shirt this week, that simply says:

Dick, we thankyou!

All Carlton supporters could buy them at the gates for a minimal cost with the money donated to the club. It would be our way of saying thank you, and something that could be highlighted on the coverage?

Carlton, as others have noted, has never been a club to worry greatly about due process, and it isn't terribly patient. Many supporters are eager for it to be in the top four this year.

Might be pushing it a bit there Jake :?
