Yeah lets trade Fev and move players like "Harts" to full forward, the biggest superstar since Ablett, Modra, Dunstall and Lockett combined.

Yeah, probably silly, particularly given our dearth of big forwards (ie zilch).

My response wasn't wholly knee-jerk to his poor display, but I thought he'd moved past that sort of un-professional effort.

In 2 years he will be 30, it'd be nice to have 3 top 20 picks to get the next Jack Watts, Cyril Rioli and Shaun Higgins, particularly in a draft where most other established clubs have slim pickings.

Everything being equal, I'd hope the club ignored my earlier opinion  , because Fev is a star, but mainly because our marking forward cupboard is bare, and our window should be open by then.

If we finish 11th next year  all bets are off.

*pops head into thread*

I didnt start it, I swear...

Cant comment on the attitude from the swans game as havent seen it yet (apparently he gave away some 50s?) - Overall I think Fev's attitude this season has been fairly good though and more than adequate. Having said that though, I'd be open for a trade if it meant we could pick up an early pick+good young player. My main concern is where Fev will be at when we are truly ready to dominate for a sustained period (2-3 years). If Fev retires, or slows down as we begin to dominate the comp, it could cut our period of domination by a few years.

I would have to agree with you here. Fev appears to have turned over a new leaf.

My main point is not to blame Fev but our game plan. It appears to be too Fev centric similar to the way Richmond's can be around Richo.

Seeing the Swans game and a few others there appears to be a simple way to beat Carlton. Have a loose man in defence that backs into Fev's space. In the Sydney game it was Ted Richards. As a result of this Fev can become frustrated and rightfully so. We need other avenues to goal.

As to the reason why we appear to be so Fev centric I do not know whether it is part of the game plan, Fev's presence demanding it or a lack of alternative options.

Fev will kick plenty against the Dogs this week and all will be forgiven.

Depends on who is umpiring CB.

Dale Morris has a good track record on Fevola.

I wish we had another key forward with Cloke likely to play on Lake.

The point is, the week after Bad Fev we get a bunch of chicken little threads.

The week after Good Fev we get a bunch of sugar coaters.

Somewhere in between lies the right balance, esp in regards to Fevola.
