I think the coaching staff made the deliberate decision to concede Bradshaw's dominance and keep Waite's rebounding. Risky call I agree.

My thoughts also. Waite is a key running off half back, playing lose and creating. This alone is why Carlos will be playing next week.

6 goals isn't what it used to be.

Doesn't matter how many you kick, when you're team was behind ALL game. What's to say if we double teamed him someone else from Brisbane wouldn't have stepped up and kicked some goals...

Stick to the plan, and back your blokes in to get the result IMO...

Absolutely - in the past few years how many times has Fev kicked 6 goals and we have lost. Bower was the best option in the circumstances which allowed Thornton and Waite to play further up the ground to create run for us. Bower will have better games for us but he is still raw and learning the caper - he will be fine.

That was my point sj - it didn't really matter how many he kicked - give Bower the opportunity to play on the best forwards in the game - it will do wonders for his learning curve.

Pros

Who's the new bloke wearing #33? Showed great tenacity and zest in the 1st half. Pity he disappeared in the 2nd half. Hoping for some consistancy...

EddieBetts is a marvel. 2009 All Australian perhaps?

The forward line's working beautifully. DON'T change it!!!!!!

Who needs Franklin when you have Fevola. Simply, the FEV is a SUPERSTAR. Hope the off-field stuff is truly a thing of the past.

Cons

Shoulder injuries. Seriously, WTF is going on down there at PP???

Pro: Kruezer - watch carefully at what this kid does.......amazing footballer
Con: Bower - continually caught out of position ie. would not take the necessary steps to rectify positioning during the game. I could understand if he was outmuscled every time but this was not the case.

Agreed Rod. I can't believe how few people have Kreuzer (and Jacobs) in their Pros. Krezuer was simply outstanding. Homework for everyone - tape the next game and watch Kreuzer on the replay so you appreciate how great he is

The number of times he is involved in the next contested possession after he has just completed a ruck contest is amazing - he is a freak and he is ours ours!!!! OURS!!!!!

He's a born hunter. He just hunts the ball down at every opportunity. He wants the ball in his hands and he wants to contribute every minute he is on the ground.

He played exactly the same way in the TAC and he has simply stepped up a notch to do it in the AFL. It's just an inbuilt instinct he has, much the same as Robbo's desire to play on at every opportunity. In the very near future Special K will be worth the price of admission alone, just as Gazza Jnr, Buddy and Juddy are now.

You can also see the effect he's having on the other ruckmen (well Jacobs at least).

You've really developed your attack on the ball after it hits the deck - is this something the coaches are hot on, or something you saw that you needed to improve?

I’d say Matty Kreuzer has set the target for stuff like this. I was a bit of a watcher last year and it’s something I’ve been working on, particularly with Kreuzer being so good at it. He just sets the standards for second and third efforts and it’s something I have to work on.

No longer can ruckmen contest the tap, and then just stand around outside the pack.

It's very noticeable Sauce getting in and under.

Perhaps a kick in the pants will make us continue to work hard. Lets work on top 8 before considering top 4.
No more press about the Fab Four.
No more "Carlton are the Boom Team"
Jamo said in a pre game interview he may be back next week.
That's a shocker we have got out of our system. Lets not let it happen again.
