Austin hasn't played for a few weeks, apparently a groin niggle. Can't see him coming straight in.

One of Setanta and Bannister if we need someone to do a job down back.

O'hAilpin has to be brought in just to cover Jamieson. Bannister doesnt have the height to cover one of their talls.

One to watch in the guts will be Skipworth. Had a good pre season and its continued in to the main season. Very much like Hadley.

It does leave us a KP defender short. But i would have Thornton on Lloyd. Bower on Lucas. If Paddy Ryder goes forward then Waite takes him. Cant see the bombers having anymore than 3 talls in the forward line at a time. So if Hille is resting down there i think you shuffle slightly to make sure Thornton or Waite take him.

I think between Waite, Thornton & Bower we can cover the bombers forwards.

Why?

Sounds like a more emotional call than a objective one.

I agree, but think Hille and McPhee running around may mean another tall like Setanta who may suit Llloyd, would be beneficial to structure without Jamison.
Would like to see Grigg in with Stevo too.

Bowers form so far this year shows that he's not up to a KPP job at the present time . Bradshaw really took him to the cleaners .
Monga or Lucas would make mincemeat of him the way he's been playing .
With Hille and Ryder also dropping in there at times Setanta is a must .

Stevens and Grigg have to come in , so Garlett and one other will have to go .
If Johnson gets suspended . . . problem solved . If not , the MC have to make a tough decision .

Jamo is a cerrt and for mine Setanta.
Garlett did OK for mine but somebody has to tell him he is allowed to have a ping instead of always looking for somebody. He may go for Grigg or Stevo. The number of times he was miles from everyone was extraordinary. He will be a gun and I disagree with those who say he isn't ready. He might just have to play a few games and have a bit of a break but IMO he's ready.
Russell did well on Johnson but he did make two critical turnovers that led to goals. I think he is worth perservering with.
Wiggo looks to have a sore buttock and he showed it against Richmond after landing heavily on it after his mark. He did OK but was quieter than the first week. If he's injured or sore, that might make way for Grigg as well.

The press seems to think that the Loss of Jamo effects our defence that much we will fall apart

Ratts has a ton of options

Obvious selection - the big Irishman - makes sense has done ok down back

Austin has been injured I believe but if he is good to go then he is an option

Hartlett spent the first three year under Pagan in defence hasn't shown much up forward and if you looking for someone to throw their weight around he does it well -could well be his last chance

Edwards has been running down back

Cloke can play down back

Bannister is a very good defensive player

Ratten isn't reluctant to give kids a go - Maybe Okeefe might get a run

could Fisher be an option - plays tall and can take a go mark

HE may choose Grigg to and play Bower deeper

Then again he could go with Scotland - Stevens Johnson Bower Thorton and Waite and let the other sides talls worry about how they are going to stop them bringing the ball out

Ins: Grigg, Stevens, O'hailpin
Outs: Jamo (Inj), Johnson (Susp), Garlett (Omit)

If Lloyd, Lucas and Ryder/Hille play up forward, i don't want Waite, Thornton and Bower all to be on them... I want one of the free... preferably Waite but Thornton will do as well... They provide so much rebound and are courageous that they come... Hence Setanta is a must imo... Man him on Lloyd... Put Waite on Lucas and Bower on Ryder... and leave Thornton free to cut across...

Johnson does not deserve to be rubbed out... but if he is that would make the selection dilemma easier... if he is free to play as he should be (i thought he was awesome on saturday).... then a dilemma we have... Jasoph is a must in this game to destroy lovett... Russell is also important to play on Watson... everyone else is safe imo... but Grigg and Stevens must come back in...

I also feel for armo... he deserves a spot too... loving our depth... just no more KPP defenders injured please...

The biggest thing we lose with Jamison is his closing speed, and in terms of tall options, Bower & Walker are it at the moment unless we want to swing other blokes down back who don't have much in the way of experience there.

Plenty of tall defenders, but not many who can play on the more fearsome leading targets over 190 cms.

Did i just hear on sports today that Yarran is going to make his debut? At the start of the program Dwayne Russell said 'he has some new on Yarran, more on that later on in the show' just as i changed over from RRR to 3AW and i caught Russel saying 'making his debut' as they cut to the news. Did anyone else here this and was this the Yarran news?
