Just checked the latests odds on sportingbet. Carlton is now $ 11 for the flag - (from $16 initially) and now third behind Cats and Hawks. Making the 8 its only $1.25 (also third).

Its round one peoples. We came up against a bunch of little school girls last night.

Early days yet but a lot better being at the top of that chart compared to the bottom end

I think $11 is the bottom end of the market for us... I think you'll get $15 by rounds 15-20.

We'll be in that bracket of teams from 3rd to 7th so anywhere from $10 to $16. How we seize our opportunities like last night - Richmond were rubbish, but 83 points is still 83 points - will dictate where we sit in that range.

Can't you ever just enjoy anything?

If your missus cooked you a steak and gave you a blow job you'd complain that the steak was too chewy, dead set.

I actually agree with Melvey (to some extent).

Preliminary signs are brilliant and I am excited at finally re-establishing ourselves as an AFL powerhouse (nothing pleases me more than the people who gave me crap over the past 5 or so years now coming up and saying 'Yeah, Carlton are going to do awesome this year'), but I think we should keep things in perspective. Many times during the dark years (2005 NAB Cup anyone?) we did one thing, read too much into it and found ourselves sadly mistaken. I don't think this is a false dawn at all but anyone can minnow bash. I will get really excited by Round 10 when we've taken on tough and disciplined sides and come out better.

Wahoo

Have you ever tried eating a chewy steak with chop sticks?
