WTF!

I reckon his first 10 disposals were clangers! A source of immense frustration on the night in an otherwise fantastic time watching my beloved Blues

Looked like a textbook fair hit to me.

From the TV replay you couldn't determine how far off the ball it was though.

In which case, given that no report was made on the night, the panel can't make a decision on the legality of it either. Surely?

The umpire could be heard telling Simpson "I'm reporting you."

they were talking about clokes hit on cousins, not simpson's reported hit.

I think a lot could be read into the fact that the umpire didn't stop play but rather took scant note of Simmo's number and then got back into umpiring.

Even the umpire knows it will get thrown out.

Dermott obviously doesn't place much stock on kicking efficiency.

Did anybody else see someone give Fev a left hook to the head on the right side of the screen in the third qtr? It may have been after the Wiggo mark or one where Garlett went up in front but didn't get it. Can't remember.

Simmo will get off, to be reported that would mean a Richmond player had to be first to the play with his head over it. :screwy:

That was a one armed tackle, which resulted in Murph's fantastic check side goal. Nothing in it and the commentator said Fev's "tackle" and pressure, helped set up the goal....

Reprimand for Kade.
Should've been thrown out, but MRP lotto has spoken.

yes reprimand for Kade.

No let offs for MC. If Grigg and Walker can be considered, it's gonna be a tough selecction meeting.

I thought Simpason was very good vs Richmond, save for a few clanger kicks.

So, what they're saying is that Simpson's bump was worse than Nick Maxwell's.

Rightio then.

Its worth 73 points I think they said, which will now become carry over points.

I wonder if teams will take anything from what happened to Cameron Smith from the Storm last season, where he had carry over points, which effectively increased his next suspension by a week.

Actually it may not apply here as without a guilty plea he'd still only get a reprimand (73 + 25%), but say he earned over 100 points...are you better off to plead not guilty, cop a week now so that any suspensions later in the season don't attract the extra week?

Thats complete crap. If it stays as a reprimand with a not guilty plea why not take it to the tribunal and see if you can get it chucked out completely. There is very little difference between between 70 odd or 90 odd carryover points and its an absolute joke that simo has to have carryover points for that...

Agree. Appeal it and get it chucked, or sit out the week if it fails, and not have any carry-over points.

It's embarrassing when you think a knee to someone's face only cops a 2 weeks.

IMHO Taylor's knee was 100 times worse than what Santy did to Cloke.

I think with the rules in place 70 points is about right. I just don't get how hodge's hit on chapman while going for the ball is any less worse. Chapman was on all fours and hodge comes crashing in, that had potential to do some serious damage. This of course went unsighted.
