It was showtime at the MCG last night with so many highlights.

Eddie winning the contest against McGuane on the wing.

Reminded me of Hulme against the Kangaroos years ago.

Totally and then he followed up with another steal and slick handball about 10 seconds later that led to the goal to Wiggins. Love Eddie. Juddy's chase in that sequence was sensational too though completely overlooked by the commentators.

I thought Fev's over the head handball to Garlett showed great vision from the big guy.

Robbo's tackle on Cuz.

Smurph's handball to Eddie

Smurph's 1st goal and 2nd goal - Class A

Cloke's welcome to Cuz.

Some highlights for me were Eddie Batts "stealing" tha ball off a couple of Richmond players.

He could make a living as a pickpocket if ever he gives up footy. Brilliant stuff little fella

Ditto to that one!!

Another one I loved was in the 3rd I think, Hadley got tackled then scragged a bit. As the Ninthmond player started to go on with a wrestle, Kreus turns up from nowhere reaches down and grabs him, within 3 secs there were about 3 or 4 blue shirts around this lone Richmond bloke. Ump yells play on, we go forward and score.

I just loved how one of ours is being threatened, suddenly there are some big bodies there (not that hadley needs protecting), not sure i would have seen that 3 years ago.

Also loved Bower's spoil in the last, great timing running with the flight.

Cloke in the 2nd Qtr is confronted by Edwards (who expects him to try and get around him) .... well Cloke charges him directly, bowls over the bewildered Edwards and makes off! ... loved it.

The effort of Robbo where he commenced to tackle twice in the pocket then followed the ball along the flank. 2nd quarter I think. He was about to give up the chase then pushed on, got involved in a few more tackles which spilled the ball and the turnover resulted in a goal.

The bit where Judd shaped to kick to the corridor then took off the other way. Sucked me in bad.

Jamo doing likewise in the 3rd quarter then banging it down the corridor for WIGGINS to take his screamer.

Yep, a Tigers bloke in front of us went ballistic at the umpire when we got that free - my mate & I were praying Fev would cap it off by kicking it.

Loved Matt Kreuzer's contested mark too.

Eddie Betts two plays on the wing that snuffed out their "rally". That was the ball game.

That's the one where I decided that I was firmly entrenched as a huge fan of the ADD kid! :) How are we going to have him and Grigg in the same team with their aggression levels?? Hope they're practicing their version of the Malachi crunch! :fight:

What about Robbo, in his first game no less, taking on the tough man Raines who decided to have a crack at the smallest player to ever play the game, Garlett. Then cons the 50 out of Raines. Loved it.

That is so right mjonc. It was almost in exactly the same spot too. Eddie has a few more trick than Hulmey though

After the locals playing silly buggers on You Tube, the govt here has blocked the whole You Tube site so highlights for me! EyeTV is a wonderful thing!

How did you survive so long without it?

i remember that moment well. Had been copping it from a North supporter all game, that was the turning point and had a lot of fun returning fire for the rest of the game. :smoking:

The thing that brought me to my feet the quickest, possibly because it happened about 20 metres in front of me, was Eddie's third goal in the second quarter. He hit the pack at breakneck speed, took the footy in his hands when his left foot touched the ground and kicked the goal as his right foot came though. It was almost as good as Wells so called 'Jacky Chan' goal of a few years ago.

Wiggo's mark looks great at 1/8 speed on the DVD player too.
