Go the membership tent on game night Sparky - they will either have it there or they will tell you its still coming and give you reserved ticket somewhere for the game.

As in, if I go there and they don't give it to me - I will get 'reserved' seating to the game, or a general admission ticket?

I only have reserved seating for home games :( and I want to book reserved seat thru ticketek but I need my barcode number... :banghead:

Well if IIRC from last year, I got a reserved seat but it was our home game.

Call the club to see what they are planning for the night should your membership not be there and how you can go about getting your barcode to reserve a seat.

Got a letter from the club today (signed by Ratts  ) saying they were disappointed I hadn't signed up this year.

There's got to be a time lag in the system somewhere but it's 18 days since I signed up and that seems like a bit of a waste or money to be hassling people who have already committed.

That said, good to see them pursuing the unsigned (assuming they're not just hassling those who have signed up already).

Hmmm that's interesting. We were on a Silver Family 11 last year and I cancelled the Direct Debit in November/December by phone. Reason being that we won't make it to many games this year with bubs on the way so it's not worth it financially for us. The person taking the call didn't ask why or anything nor try to see if they could reconvince me. I wonder if I'll get a letter from Ratts too? Again is this something they could have followed up sooner?

Two more members/BBs added to the list on Friday.

As usual I rang through my renewal and I first tried on Wednesday, but gave up after being on hold for 15 minutes or so. I guess you could think that the membership dept was on smoko and noone was answering phones, but I’d like to think they were just damn busy fielding calls. It still took me about 10 minutes on hold to get through on Friday too.

I phoned through the camels’ membership renewal on Fri 13 March and the kits arrived in my mailbox this morning.

You might want to re-phrase that...

This performance tonight would surely have to add a few more thousand to the membership total

Memo to Swanny: Have a few more people manning the membership line 1300 72 79 81 tomorrow, lets catch them

I wonder if the surge in our membership this week will be inversely proportional to the number of Richmond memberships that get torn up.

I don't think we need to worry about the 40K mark now. 45K, maybe? :smoking:

Could we crack 40k before the match against the Lions? The performance in round 1 plus the fact that it was an away game should enable us to sign just under 4000 members this week

by all accounts the membership department was swamped Friday morning. given that its a 9 day break between games and we haven't had a home game yet, there is every chance we ccould get close to the 40k prior to next week's game.

Caro's article below is about Richmond and their missed opportunity however there was this little line buried:

when you consider that the Blues' telephone lines and supporters' credit cards reportedly went into overdrive on Friday.

I heard a tweet from a little bird that there is a backlog bigger than they have ever experienced. Rough estimate still to process is over 3K. I reckon we are montys to hit 40K before the Brions game, but maybe not announced in order to keep the momentum up. :smoking:

As long as the 40K is in real members that the AFL recognises rather than a membership figure only recognised by the CFC internally.

Got mine in the mail today, massive stuff up. I called to renew mine and my old mans membership last Monday, I was a 16 game standard gold concession member. Dad was an 11 game standard gold concession member. He got his without a hassle.

Mine however is also an 11 game adult standard gold, I don't know how they buggered it up, I said I just wanted to renew them & not change. Not happy.

Edit: Called the club, sorted it out. Refunded me the difference and are going to send out the new membership card.

Good work Carlton membership dept. Got my proper membership in the mail today, in time for the game this weekend. Also means I can get a hat and a scarf now
