Look, from what I understand I reckon Nick's a champion bloke off the field.

But you'd be kidding yourself if you didn't think that Ratts would have cracked the shits with him for getting reported for something like that. Coaches don't mind you getting done if you're going for the ball and make incidental contact, but a hit to the guts is a pretty dumb thing to do.

He shouldn't be hanged for it, but nor should it be excused.

note: doing something selfish and silly DOESN'T make you a selfish and silly person. It's the ACTION, not the person, that's the problem here. Hopefully it doesn't happen again, because Nick's an important player in an important season.

As I mentioned earlier, Stevens didn't have to put himself in this situation. He is only hurting the team by sitting on the side lines.

I'm sure Stevo would think it was both silly and stupid bothe times he has been suspended.

He's getting on and his window for a flag is closing.

He has to contribute positively week in week out with the kids if he is going to crack a flag in 2009 and/or 2010.

I bet he'll come back and we wont tell the difference between Stevo and Robbo; other than body shape.

He better put in a huge 2009, or he could be history. I bet he knows that too.
