Just got in from catching up with mates the same guy who told me about the man overboard story has told me this.

That the Fev may have fractured his foot in the practice match against freo. He has had his foot scanned and was seen on crutches today. In serious doubt for round 1

Also, someone i know works for one of the biggest betting agencies and there is massive speculation that Juddy has had some groin soreness from late January. This one im not that confident with info

Considering the media have run with the story also, I don't doubt Melvey's info, the Judd rumour is interesting.

Oh yes Melvey, the bookmakers have reacted to rumours of Judds groin problems by trimming his odds from $11 to $8 since January. SOunds like they are super confident about your rumour... :donk:

Surface Surprise

Carlton was pleasantly surprised by the well-grassed surface at Bunbury. The Blues, who took 26 players and officials west, arrived home before dawn yesterday with only a few minor ailments.

Spearhead Brendan Fevola has a bruised heel and defender Shaun Grigg complained of hamstring soreness during the game.

"The surface was quite spongy and a few players got very tight," football manager Steven Icke said.

"As you do at this time of the year, you're pretty nervous about soft-tissue injuries and you err on the side of caution. As soon as Grigg presented with a tight hamstring, we took him off the ground. Fev was exactly the same, he fell on his heel. But he's fine.

How about we let this ride out instead of jumping on Melvey straight off? He may well be wrong, we hope he is. He didn't post that Fev has a fractured foot, just that he heard a rumour.

Not sure about the Judd one, that said his form hasn't exactly been earth shattering.

If Juddy is sore I'm tipping they would not have dragged him to Bunbury and back !!!

Gives credence to Ratten's comments about having to travel this close to round one.

Carlton arrives home at 5 AM in the same weekend when WCE traveled to Victoria to play at Visy Park.

The AFL can't have WCE playing Freo and Carlton playing the Hawks again.

That will take the gloss of their H & A fixtures. :screwy:

Muppets. :banghead:
