It seems to be that every year we sign a different ball and coaches sponsor for 3 years. What ever happens to those last 2 years.

Our predecessors made a decision to limit sponsorship deals to 2 years in order that we were not tied long term deals. I think this decision was made due to the prevailing conditions at the time, our sponsorships were hard to fill and they recognised that things would improve with time.

Berttochi, our previous coach sponsor expired end of last year which allowed us to replace them with JNC resulting in a much better yield to the Club. Similarly with Telechoice. The ball sponsorship had expired so a package has been sold which incorporates the ball plus other benefits. The net result from this deal is substantially better for the Club.

So when we land the next fish and again set new benchmarks for the Club - TC heard it first.

Good times for the club when the board are personable and approachable AND when the board members just happen to know the formula for success and how to get there AND there are no passengers or gatekeepers among them.

THAT, my friends is how you get quarter-mil sponsors just to have an audience with the successful.

Real good times people :-D First you get the money, then you get the power, then you get the premiership.... Sick!

Cheers Mark H, appreciate the info and the time you took.

Lets see if we can remember all the sponsors that have come and gone recently

X-Box - Coaches
Mediplan ?? - Ball or shorts
Bertocchi - coaches

Telechoice announced yesterday that they have renewed their ball sponsorship for four years.

Great work by the Blues in this economic climate to sure up another sponsorship.

Source: Today's Herald-Carlton.

Telechoice might want to remove Kennedy from their website http://www.telechoice.com.au/sponsorship.cfm.

Strange decision by telechoice. For the same coin, they could have been the major sponsor at Melbourne :smoking:

Thanks for sticking fat Telechoice. Maybe I'll buy a phone from you this year when my prsion sentence from telstra is over

You know that set play we've got, where one of our backmen hold the ball up to signal that we're slowing the game down... do you reckon they could be instructed to hold the logo-side of the ball towards the cameras?

Dunno about that, but FFS, I hope we start kicking little Carlton branded [insert sponsor here] footies into the crowd after a win. Relatively cheap and very simple PR for both club and sponsor alike.

Or get a Telechoice mobile out of his shorts to ring up the forward line with the message.

Depends how many coaches and how many balls you have.
