Different players...but give me Fisher for his marking and goals.

Best mark in the team....not Wiggler, but Fisher.

I don't think Wiggo is a threat to Fisher's position and vice versa, as mentioned imo different type of players.

Better still compare Wiggins with someone of similar size and role and competing with for a spot in the 22:

Wiggins vs Robinson

Tassie vs Tassie
Tough vs Tough
Tackler vs Tackler
187/88 vs 185/80
Fast vs Very fast
Experience vs Upside

I reckon Robinson will be picked before Wiggo in the NAB and for Rnd 1 at this early stage.

Hopefully Walker can play the entire season and with the inclusion of Yarran and Robinson those three can add more flair and dimension to our forward setup.

I can't believe Fisher is in the leadership group. Barring any injuries i don't have him in our best 22 and Wiggo (love the block) but i think it will be his last

You're selling Fisher very short here mate. If he's in the leadership group then he's there for a reason. Barring injury, Fisher is in our best 22. No doubt about it. Hopefully he'll kick 30 - 40 goals this year and shut a few people up.

I don't wanna sound like a broken record here but his negatives far out way his positives. Poor skills, lack of pace and poor penetration with his kicking. Other than his clean grabs i just don't think he has much more to offer that we have already seen.

Both, Fisher and Wiggins can and should be in the side. Fisher kicking looks a lot worse than it actually is, and at the moment (Fev aside) he is the best pack marking option we have in the forward line. Wiggin's is never going to kick a bag of goals but is a very good lead up mark and provides a lot of space in the forward line

..i reckon if we set up our F50 properly, we can get Fisher on the opposition's 3rd defender, play him v/close to the goal-square and he'll rip apart the opposition.. ..especially if we mix some 'decoy' tactics in with Fev's genuine leads..

Wiggins has worked hard to be a senior footballer and you have to admire the man for his ability to keep on keeping on.
He deserves his spot in the 22 based on his work ethic and has become a reliable player.
Fisher is a required player and while he remains a unknown quantity with regards injuries he appears to be travelling ok at this stage and is needed as backup for Fev.....remember if Fev gets injured we dont have the riches of say Hawthorn wirh regards key fowards and I think Fisher would do an adequate job in covering for him.
I'm guessing both Fisher and Wiggins will start in our best 22 this season vs Richmond..

i am with you Big Kahuna, Fisher close to goals is the way i would use him. We all know he hasnt got more than forty metres range in he's kicking.

I think with "The Mitch" coming on - that both Fish and Wiggo will be struggling for regular games - as he is more flexible and versatile than either of them.

Mitch may be not as good in the air as Fish (but certainly wouldnt lose too many one on one marking contests) but resting deep up forward would certainly put better defensive pressure than Fish - and further up the ground I think that he offers better disposal skills than Wiggo and just as much inside toughness and grit.

Dont disagree that MR will probably be better than both of them over the journey but most youngsters tend to tail off in the second half of the year as their immature bodies wilt under the physical pressure and players with some mature condition like Wiggins will step up and fill the gaps......ditto for Yarran.
Its along year and the way MR throws himself in he may need some time out and I'd just be taking it easy with him as I'm sure the footy dept will.......I think he will be a terrific medium/forward/midfielder ...

We wont be delisting or trading either Fisher or Wiggins before the end of this season thats for sure.

So its good to know we have Fisher and Wiggins as back up for Robinson.
