Crowds getting bigger and bigger...

I thought for the size of it, they handled it well...
Previously one jumping castle and one food outlet and one drinks outlet....slowly they have increased...BUT this year, there was a tone more activities etc.

BUT the crowds were huge! ..and this makes it hard
Usually the only thing on stage was the jumper /player presentation...so the idea of the band and video "TKWC" and other things was great.

All sponsors having "something" was fantastic...kids (littlies) could still go to a small marqueee and get a Visy Juddy jigsaw or a Telechoice balloon without feeling they missed out.
Also the number press ha numbers and dollars and kept plugging away.
(Last year they ran out of numbers and you had to pay at the merchandise van and then go to the numbers press and show a ticket...blah blah..was a mess!)

I think they did really well given the numbers and the fact that the construction zone is in full swing.

Probably need to get innovative on the signing/autograph thing....huge queues where the crowd half way down get told you won't make it before the players leave is not a great experience.

ALSO well done to Fev for giving priority to the little kids for signatures as well as pushing back ADULTS  that were pushing past kids in the queue

As my kids are more interested in jumping castles than jumper presentations, this was the first year I gave it a miss. Kudos to the club, this family day is getting bigger and bigger each year.
But the idea of standing in lines for 90% of the time didnt appeal that much.
I'll stick with the school holiday clinics

Good day out.

The little one loved the multitude of bouncing castle options, and went beserk getting the signatures of our younger players.

The Judd queue was ridiculously long though, and it would have been nice had Pratt been there or Sticks or Ratts led a rendition of the song.

Great day had by the redskins clan..thankyou to Kade Simpson for signing my 4 year old's football and posing for a photo with him..My son asked me in which episode of The Simpsons did he appear in   ..He now wants No.6 on his jumper

A big thankyou also to the roughly 40yr old who jumped in front of my son to take a photo with Chris Yarran just before he was whisked away for the jumper presentation. You sir, are a fine example of what not to do..I explained to my son that he was probably a Pies supporter who was trying to get a feel of what success/class looks like..Even as a 4yr old, he understood.

You are so full of sh*t Redskin. Your pathetic attempt at trying to gain sympathy for your 4yr old son is undone by a flaw in your story. A Collingwood supporter would not know what a camera is for, let alone try and get a photo taken.

A bit harsh exsing...i actually believe all Collingwood fans have quite an intimate knowledge of cameras...How would their mugshots be taken?? You do realise not all police stations have sketch artists..

and thus my big thanks to Fev for bypassing adults (in some cases) and focusing on the kids!

Adults who jostle kids out of the way are sad individuals, there was a bit of that when we went to the ANZAC day training last year.

I was at the front of the Gibbs queue with 1 minute to go, and this eldery lady was trying to sqeeze in on the side... I thought one old lady, i'll let her in... so while i was kinda moving back she looks at me and says "you right?" in a very rude tone... I ignored it... Next thing i saw is she had about 5 people tagging behind her pushing in of only 1 was about 12 and the rest were older. I was peeved cause i thought i'm gonna miss out... lucky i was the second last person to get his sig. Moral of the story... don't trust eldery people

Highlight of the day was seeing Dr Geoffrey Eddleston with his blonde flame.

The guy looks like a freak of nature but at least his passion for the Baggers remains.

Haha, I saw the Doc and his sqeeze. How much do you think she's costing him per week?

The Doc looks younger now than he did when he owned the Swans...
