6-8 games IMO. I just think without injury he isn't in our best team, add to that he will start the year in the Bullants based on his banishment from Carlton until further notice, he will need to earn his spot in the best 22.

It will be interesting to see if the club suspend him in addition to the AFL meaning he would miss 3-4 games of the AFL season.

Its been some time since I've seen some mongrel in a player. If this is what he does to a teammate I cant wait to see what he does with an opposition player, esp those who wear crappy black & white jumpers !!!!

might be just what the doctor ordered !

Pity that he doesn't direct that agro at the ball and hurt the opposition where it matters.

he is good at bumping/chesting a player before the ball has been bounced though.

Yep, when will defenders learn that such stunts won't put off forwards? For instance, Fev will always kick bags on Max Hudgston regardless of any harassment that Maxy throws his way. Like, it's not as though Fev would ever lose concentration and motivation, is it?

I think we need to get back to basic manners. We need to teach our defenders to be gentlemen. Mostly they've been pretty good over recent years. They've tended to let their opponents go first on the lead, and that's nice to see. And thankfully, they've taken the higher road by eschewing niggling tactics. Now we just have to make sure they're more friendly to their opponents as well.

That would be funny if Setanta knew where the line was.

Do you want them to hold hands and sing Kum-Bay-Yah as well?? WTF???

I am sure that the current Premiership team values good manners......ask Hodge, Brown Lewis, Dew et al.

C70, I'm pretty sure that Indie was being sarcastic.

My bad Indie...

With some of the shite being posted on here recently it is a bit hard to sort the wheat from the chaff.

Yep, I know what you mean. I think some of the precious supporters should switch to following ballet instead. But then again, apparently the level of bullying and pressure you'd find in a ballet company would make life at a footy club appear to be a walk in the park.

But do ballet dancers virtually KO each other and then kick them when they're down like they're dead animals in the gutter?

Players from other codes would be laughing at the shitstorm this incident has created..if this stuff was the best that Setanta and co could dish up they wouldn't last long in training at say the Canterbury Crusaders..blokes in these codes go at it all the time - we just don't have it headlining the Heraldsun.

Get over it and move on.

I think in light of everything else that is going, the whole saga seems so irrelevant.

Let the players decide what further punishment there will be and then we should all move on.

The very best punishment that can be handed to the Irishman is tell him from now on your form is what justifies your selection - You will not be selected as a project player anymore we are not going to pump games into you to get more experience - If you want to play for Carlton again you going to have to prove your ability in The Bullants .No more free rides because he tries hard on the track

If he's told that his penalty is that form will be the only criterion for selection from now on, he'll be overjoyed.
