So that's the kick you are all getting so worked up about.........WTF ?!?!?!?!
Look I hate the fact teamates had a go at each other as much as the next person, but to hang, draw and quater a player for a "dog act kick" (that was soft and not in his ribs as has been reported by an "eye witness") is a bit over the top.
Yes he needs to pay for his indiscretion;
Yes he needs to apologise to Cameron and his family;
Yes he needs to apologise to the team and coaching staff;
Yes he needs to apologise to the supporters who have been there through thick and thin;
But.....this can be turned around.
THIS IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD.
If you are in doubt look at the footage a few times....think about it a bit and....move on.
My view of the incident from the footage is that Carlos and Cloke were both wrestling, probably with Carlos being the agressor (He seemed to move from behind Cloke to infront of him in the grapple). Cloke moved his arm to get above Carlos' shoulder as Carlos was pushing him towards the ground, and as Cloke made his way up to his feet Carlos' smacked him in the head and then kicked him on the ground in a sign of contempt.
Sure the kick may not have broken Cloke's hip, but it's the lack of respect shown to a fallen team mate, and the fact that he smacked his team mate as he was getting to his feet, which are the reason's the guy should be shown the door ............. I really can't see how you could argue that Carlos' hitting Cloke is any less serious than Hall decking Staker, and some could argue it's worse cdnsidering it was a team mate in an intra club match, and if Hall decided to stick the boot in afterwards it would have been 12+ game suspension not the 7 which he was probably lucky to get .............
How are the boy's supposed to respect a guy who goe's out and knocks out one of their own ??? If this was an opponent that he knocked out then the next time the 2 teams met EVERY ONE ON THE OPPOSITION SIDE WOULD BE HAVING A CRACK AT HIM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
