any earlier than 12 pm and i simply wont be able to make it in time for the start of the game.

even 12 pm would be a stretch (given i've got to get from tullermarine to the ground, ready to go in about 45min), but i can live with that, and if i'm late, i'm late. no use holding up the whole game for me.

if the game ends up being moved before 11.30am, to be honest i'll have to reconsider coming down at all.

not much point for me really, but i totally understand when players welfare is the issue.

anyhow, keep me posted, fingers crossed it's a forecast of 25Deg and the heat isn't a major issue.

actually i just found a 10 day forcast - put as much faith in that as you want but early indications are Sun 24-26 deg so we could well be fine.

cheers
gez

We won't short change you.

At that temp we won't move a thing......

Get your boots packed my friend.

A Facebook Group Talking Carlton has been created.

This has been run passed the Admin team.

We need a logo that I can set up.

From there I can upload pictures, vids etc, just need people to give me access and permission etc and we can make it great.....

Members do have the ability to upload stuff as well...

Cheers

Barnesy

Right, with a forecast in the twenties it is time that we all start getting active on this thread this week.

It is important to be active, to reconfirm your commitment for Sunday.

With a 2pm start it is important to arrive around 1:30pm.

Some things to note:

- playing for the "Duke Cup"

- Start at 2pm

- Bring Carlton Jumper (spare if you have one), boots, water, sunscreen, and if possible some people to bring ice

- have a goal umpire, so we need to cover scoring of course and a bench official if possible

Rollo and I have commited to having a 5 minute chat to everyone before the game to encourage the spirit of the forum games and to promote future games.

I will post the final team on Saturday night, anyone who I have missed from the previous selected team needs to PM me asap.

Anyone with a ? needs to be in asap as well.

As important is anyone to take photos to go on the Talking Carlton web site and Talking Carlton Group on Facebook.

This is our chance to get one back, we have the names available we just need to do the job.

Get Active a big week ahead........

"Can you confirm you have enough to field a team..."

committed numbers look about the same on both sites, mate...

I always count on 5-6 late excuses or no shows, so both sides should be OK...

our team has very different personnel from last time, so I am not making predictions...

you guys have never seen our 7' ruckman and he's not available this time either...

hope it's another memorable stoush...

regards,

rollo

No matter what my friend we look forward to Sunday.

I would think that most of our guys would turn up, but understand the last minute pull outs.

One thing, lets not forget a good quality football.

Can we ask who has one or two for the game?

Barnesy

I've been able to get a football from an old neighbour in Rowan Sawers (AFL ump coach) he tells me it's a little scuffed because of the concrete hard grounds, will pick it up on Wednesday & advise if the ball is good enough!

Footballs have never really been a big problem.

Lets just make sure a few people bring one and we will go with the best one....

So just commit if you have got one and bring it Sunday.....

Last time parked in a side street over the road from Punt Road, next to the railway line.

There was no restrictions on there.

F'KN bring it on!!!

can't wait for this. first time i've had a kick for a few years.

this should be a good laugh.

been working on my fitness, it's been hard in this heat though. so hopefully i'll be able to run it out.

pretty sure i'm going to play in runners so i can move around more freely, plus i'll have a great excuse for my shizen kicking skills

looking forward to meeting everyone i haven't played wth yet.
i have a couple of spare jumpers (one long sleeve) that i can bring down too.

got any spare demons jumpers, gezman ??

we can use them over here...

seriously, runners are a bad idea - the ground is in great nick and the surface will be slippery - footy boots compulsory IMO...

don't think you will be disappointed with the experience...

except on the scoreboard...

I have posted all the parking options on the demonland site, just google demonland and look for the game thread...
