I reckon that's the leadership group for the year, that's why they'd be the only ones going.

Blues In Penang

Sitting in a restuarant in Penang Malaysia last night and there was the Carlton hierarchy and leadership group having dinner. Kernaghan, Ratten and Harvey amongst others. Judd and Fevola and the rest of the leadership group. Mick Molloy and Mike Sheahan amongst the gathering. Interesting to see this group in this place as the pre-season draws near. They were in good spirits mixing with some fans from the street and then a bit of market shopping afterwards.

I hope that Crows fans made a mistake and thought Molloy was Hughsey...

Molloy is a Richmond fan. :?

There was footage of the boys on the Channel 10 news tonight.

They had:

The boys doing kick to kick and hand ball drills in the high humidity
Juddy at the oran ga tang park
Murphy at the golf tee (good shot from the boys reaction)
Juddy on the jet ski

Juddy stated he was having lunch with Ben Cousins tomorrow (Saturday).

I got the Blues: Richard Pratt
Quote:
Pratt says he likes the wayward star "very much". Just before leaving the team's farewell dinner at an Italian restaurant on Wednesday night, he turned to Fev, started waving his hands like a conductor, singing "Dunt, da dunt, da, dar," prompting a rousing rendition of Carlton's theme song.
Harvey, a Saint for more than 20 years, made a feeble attempt to join in before turning mute, while Channel 10's Mick Molloy, a Richmond tragic, walked out of the restaurant in mock protest.

Quote:
"Just because I've got a quid, it doesn't mean I'm better than they are," he says.

I love Dick Pratt.

Thankyou.

Glad to see they stayed at the resort we stayed in for our honeymoon, though judging from the photos, they didn't stay in the better rooms ;)

Grand place.

Seems the sponsorship is a winner!

Asked on the effect of the promotion, Perry said based on the most recent Australian tourism figures, the April 2009 year-on-year increase for short-term visitors to Malaysia was up by 17 percent despite the global economic downturn.

Sounds like we should ask for another year's sponsorship at a higher rate......

I resent that.

But I can see why they used the Man U analogy.

It's the only club Malaysians have actually heard of.

The largest Manchester United store in the world is in Kuala Lumpur.

Reason why Malaysian tourism has gone up is because the place is cheap.

Just booking a North QLD holiday for August, and I can see why backpackers, students etc head to Thailand and Malaysia and Indonesia. Accommodation is crazy.

Maybe all those tourist operators up north who are crying that tourism is dropping domestically should look at their prices before opening their mouths as to why Australians are going overseas.

I'd say the same thing about trying to spend any significant time in Melbourne too Clem! Taking the family there for 11 days in September will cost me 1 1/3 times as much as going to Fiiji..... and that's with airfares costing $105 each way... :screwy:

I hope Malaysia sponsors next year - I'll have to think about going there for a holiday instead!!
