I reckon to boost morale, everyone who missed out would have been told privately "Oooh...you only JUST missed out...you were VERY close to making the private jet..."

Fantastic news, just another reason why playing for the blues is a winner!!

The quick trip will be great for team spirit and give everyone a chance to 'freshen up' a little after a gruelling month on the track.

Timed very well I think, ready to get back early Feb for a hard 3 weeks before NAB kick off.

It's kinda funny that the pies cant get over to Sth Africa to help with the preseason altitude training, match practice, etc.... because of tightening $$$'s yet we can send the whole team to Malaysia for some fun in the sun!!!!!

the only way to avoid that would be to make the leadership group go by jet so it doesn't create any conjecture about who the better players are. and fwiw, i reckon all 44 players would rather fly on the plane anyway.

 Would be a bit of pressure to behave on the private Jet you would imagine.

Unless there is a jacuzzi I suppose.

BUGGER!!!!!!!

Just spent two weeks in Penang over Christmas. Had I known the boys and DP were going to be there that soon after I would have postponed the trip and gone there during their time there.

Fantastic holiday - bloody cheap living costs, and brilliant food at the Long Beach hawkers stalls in Batu Ferringhi.

Highly recommend this destination for an easy, reasonably priced and interesting beach holiday. Go to Langkawi if you want a good snorkelling or diving experience.

The players should have a great time and the PR out of this should be excellent.

Honeymooned in Penang recently, wonder where they're going to stay. A couple of really nice hotels there.

As mentioned before, those who think it's a dump well, suffice to say that there's places in Australia that could be classified as a dump, particularly in remote communities.

But whatever takes people's fancy

Visited Penang as part of a cruise a couple of years ago. Only spent one day there, and the word ''dump'' did go through my mind.
BUT, we certainly weren't there long enough to make an informed opinion one way or the other.

Could be worse for the boys though, they could be going to Seymour !..............You say, WHAT????????????

Loser!

:P

Must say though, why not take all the players over there for 2-3 days. I'm sure they'd fit in Pratt's "$30 mil Jet".

Why split the team in this respect?? Surely the cost of transportation isn't that great...
