Was hobbling around training today with what looked to be an injury to the left knee, can anyone shed more light on this?

Hampson showed real potential in the game against Brisbane- rd 21. He won the ruck duels and was a good player. He will need to continue on the good work this year, but I hope they use him sparingly in the pre-season though. Needs to be right for round 1.

Is this the same thing Matty Allan had? Stress fractures are no good, and my guess it is doesn't help when you're a giant.

Huge blow

Guess it's now Hammer Time for real !

Probably divided 8 weeks by 4 and got 2.
Two being plural as distinct from one, which is singular, equals 'months'.
Or, divided 56 by 29.5 and got 1.898, which, being more than 1, is referred to as being plural. also, therefore, 1.898 'months'.
And yes, it's a slow week.

Bad luck for the kid, but hopefully the plusses are that it is pre-season and the club is better educated in how to handle these injuries nowadays.

Get well soon Robbie's foot!

 Happy Birthday BS

A small setback and nothing more for 206 in his long career at CFC. Will give him time to work on upper body buildup over the next couple of months.

Terrible news for him and terrible news for the club.

It's a serious football injury and one that some players never fully recover from.

Fingers crossed his recovery is 100% and it does not hamper him reaching his potential.

Either way we should expect very little from him for 2009. Two months out (especially with a leg injury) at this time of year is a massive disadvantage for any player.

Been rumours among sporting mecial circles that he had long term injury concerns and would miss several months early in the season and they were back when he was recruited.......best to let him take his time to recover and I am confident Hampson can do the job along with Kruezer and Cloke.

I remember hearing something about Warnock having foot problems on the Dockerland boards during the trade talk, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is what they were talking abut (ala prone to hoot hotspots like Cricketers are)

Hope he pulls through quickly

Damn, not a good start for us. So hes out for 2 months, that means he would be ready for round 1 if he were a developed player, but we wont be seeing him for a while after that right?
