no i don't think that's right. he was playing in the tackers last year and couldn't have done so had he been 12.

Jack won the best and fairest this year in the under 11s, so may maybe it was 97

SOS wasnt married when he played in the 95 gf. pretty sure he got married a few months after that, Jack would have been born a couple of years later, he is probably about 11. The others are about 9 and 6.

I dont want to seem obsessed...but the Silvagni's closely follow my nephew and nieces in age

Jack, born Dec 1997, just turned 11
Ben, born May 2000, turned 8 this year
Tom, born Sep 2002, turned 6 this year

I just found an article from May 2003 which confirms their ages as 5, 3 and 7 months

Let's be logical about this.

I'm going to assume that all three are going to make it, play for Carlton their entire careers and have 16 year, 300 game careers.

Jack will start in 2015, career will finish in 2031.
Ben will start in 2018, career will finish in 2034.
Tom will start in 2020, career will finish in 2036.

That's 21 years between Jack's debut and Tom's retirement.

The next assumption I'll make is that all three sons will also have three sons, who will also have the same careers as their Fathers..

Now, if we get on the front foot NOW and start lining up suitable breeding candidates for the boys, it's feasible that they could have bred and had three sons by the time each is 23. Let's say son #1 comes along at age 18, the second at 20 and the third at 22.

Jack will have his boys in 2015, 2017 and 2019.
Ben will have his boys in 2018, 2020, and 2022.
Tom will have his boys in 2020, 2022 and 2024.

Jack's first born will debut in 2033 (three years before Tom's retirement), while Tom's youngest will retire in 2058.

That means, potentially, we're soon to enter a 43 year Silvagni dynasty.

Tissues please - I appear to have made a mess of my shorts.

So what happens when they have sons?

Forget the tissues, someone hand me a beach towel.

Thank God for Deano...the only one to bring common sense and reality to an argument.

Although sometimes I think he tries to underplay a situation, just so we don't get our hopes up.

Using Deano's model of each one producing three and the next, three etc, we'll have to have Amway as a major sponsor.

Remember the father son system is a bidding war. Any club can give up a pick better than ours to snare them and there is West Sydney compensation to consider as well

If Deano had really wanted to underplay it he would have had included Serge's great-great-great-great grandkids in it and had an entire Carlton Senior Playing List of Silvagnis.

Speaking of soiled shorts - lucky I got a few extra pairs for Christmas.

Happy New Year everyone.

Ben looks like being the key position player, his height compared to Jack who's over 2 1/2 years older is startling. Mind you, so is his mum
