It's real.

Do they ever think these things through. Against the active "we're coming!" the passive "We're waiting" implies that we are putting no effort in but hoping that things will work out OK eventually.

They've even copied our forum - got their own Melvey

The scums reaction is exactly what every other club and opposition supporter is thinking.

Again i reiterate my point, a cocky slogan from a club yet to prove anything. Has yet to stand on it's own two feet with out help from a billionaire president and so on.

The mates i was with all said the same thing 'bring it on' they would love nothing more than to beat the the so called 'TEAM ON IT'S WAY'

Why couldn't the club just shut its mouth, keep it all in house and let the team do the talking on the field.

The only time we should ever be cocky is when Chris Judd and Ratts are holding up our 17th premiership cup. As yet we've done nothing

Yet you have Collingwood supporters praising our add for having some grunt and bagging the crap out of their own add.

Geez Mandy, you have left yourself open here!

Let me see, do you mean: Trading record, ability to attract quality players from other clubs, drafting, list, captain, midfield, jumper, cheer squad leader, training paddock, culture, GF record or are you talking about your supporters?

Help us out here, young lady! :P

Because people are talking about the ad, then the campaign is working.

And if we wait till after our 17th then the campaign would be "We Came" 8)

I would guarantee that if Essendon* had run this campaign, and we had responded the way they have to ours, you'd be going on and on again about how far ahead they are than us, how they're being proactive and we are being reactive, how their young players have more of a future than ours, how their coach isn't a yes-man, etcetera :garthp:

Who the flower cares?
The last thing on earth that concerns me is what opposition supporters think about our membership slogan.
Carlton supporters seem to love it. That's all that matters.
Take a deep breath Melvey, you need to stop being so sensitive.

You know I don't click on links, but even without seeing it I'm pretty sure Collingwoods effort was enough to destroy Collingwoods effort.

There's no bragging rights here. Ours is shit and all of our supporters agree. Unless you plan on holding us all personally responisble I'm not really sure what your point is.

Who mentioned bragging rights? :?

Deano joked that he'd rather have Something Blue which wasn't an inspired slogan and pretty bland.

Yet the Something Blue commercial which featured Rita Silvagni and her grandson wearing the Carlton jumper, Dave Hughes and other parts was a good byproduct.

Thank God.

I loved seeing Jack in that ad.

The Something Blue commercial kicked more goals when we were flat broke at the time and operating on a shoe string budget.

This Collingwood effort is embarassing when you have more money than you know what to do with.

Imagine how much you paid for it?

The music in the Pies commercial reminded me of this superior amateur effort - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPPxCEIC0gA

You worry a hell of lot about people who don't matter to the CFC.

Get grip FFS you are starting to embarrass yourself with this incessant whining about how bad it will be for us.

Essendon*'s ad is quite simply a very poor lack of imagination.

If all they are worried is Carlton, then two wins in 09 should be good for them. :-D
