Boy oh boy is our old mate JeffDunne peeved about this or what. As usual making a smartarse comment and then playing the victim when he's called up on it. That guy couldn't live without us to obssess over

http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=507559

I'm reminded of that bloke from SS who said he'd rather have Robert Harvey than all the cups in our cabinet. Wonder what he'll do now that we have BOTH.

Oh the humanity.

The collective IQ of some of these morons on BF make the talkback callers on SEN look like Rhodes Scholars.

JeffDunne resorting to the usual irrelavent and moronic taunts about 2 or 3 wooden spoons - he would certainly know a thing or two about wooden spoons.

And then carrying on about integrity - he would certainly know about that - coming from a club that arseholed its champion players with 7 cents in the dollar and its creditors even lesser amounts. Loads of integrity their JeffDunne. really a moron but I would be offending morons by comparing him to them.

Let's not forget this is a good move for Robert Harvey as well.

If he knew he was looking at a development role it would have been very stupid to do that at a club like St Kilda. Not a lot of talent in their young players, a budding career as a development coach could have been cut off after 2 or 3 lean years.

Much better to come to a club like Carlton whose stable of under 22 catttle will most likely make any development coach look like a genius over the next few years. A stepping stone to a long non playing career.

Now, either Harvey worked this out for himself or Swann and Icke let Harvey work it our himself. Either way a good move for Robert Harvey.

As for JeffDunne, I hope the Carlton Football Club has a restraining order on him. The obsession is pathetic.

I read a couple of pages of that thread.

I felt less intelligent by the minute while I was there.

BF = pox.

The important thing about Harves is not his impeccable playing record but how well he can communicate with the young players and how well he can teach them and impart the knowledge he gained over his career. Did we just appoint him because he was a great player or did we establish clearly that he has the teaching and communication skills to be a great development coach? Time will tell. There's many a great player who would be good coaches in various capacities and many who aren't. Glen Archer for instance would be a dreadful coach despite his playing record judging by his input on Footy Cl'd.

Harves is a humble guy, if he can communicate his work ethic alone, then he will be value. Love it if we occasionally appointed someone to the coaching panel that has previous coaching experience tho. Maybe we will do that by appointing an Ants coach.

I'm sure Harvey will have automatic respect from all at Visy Park. My concern, echoing Gerry, is whether his reserved demeanour is suited to coaching. I'm sure having a bit of C-word about you is common to most successful coaches...

A friend (not Carlton) congratulated Carlton on "signing a mute" to coach. Just wondering what other know about Harvs away from his public persona, and if the above is a valid concern.

He reads TC, and I'm betting he does so daily. It truly is disturbing how deep his obsession runs, any Carlton related thread on BigFooty will have at least one JeffDunne post on the first page, and on most pages after that.

I'm not a huge Robert Harvey fan personally, he made a career out of being able to run all day and rack up dozens of (not overly damaging) possessions. That said, if having him at the club makes St Kilda fans just that shade or two greener then I'm all for it.

No doubt this sad sack of human excrement uses the typical lemming “St Kilda are irrelevant” line too.

And no AGRO, I don't want camelboy to lift his game, simply to show some respect to an opposition forum like he expects of others with his. I know your parents probably spent more time abusing you than giving you guidence, but there is a concept called common courtesy. I doubt you've heard of it so I suggest you look up it's meaning. It might actually help give you some understanding on what you're lacking and why you've become such a loser in life.

I wish I didn't go that site; pathetic.

I spent my teen years growing up in Hampton and because of that I was richt in the middle of Saints territory. Paul Callery was my PE teacher. I have heaps of mates who are die hard Saints supporters, and they are nothing like some of those posters at SS.

Please don't stoop down to their level fellow Blues supporters; they're a sad lot.

I see there's a lot of jealousy towards us, and a hell of a lot of vindictiveness.

When we were flogging them prior to 2002, Saints supporters expected it. In fact they were grateful we gave them some of their best players: Jezza, McConville, Marcou...and we can go on.

What a mess.
