If true great move by the club. No one more respected than Harvs to tutor the young boys at Carlton

I agree.

With Judd and Harvey on the same team steering the way for the young kids (which we have in abundance), we can only be heading in the right direction.....towards our holy grail; #17.

Fair point Melvey.

And seeing as Collingwood is chasing Harvey, that would mean that they're also living in the 70's. Which would mean that they're not at the pointy-end of player development. Which would mean that you're wrong about them setting the benchmark. Which would mean that you're either full of shit about Harvey, or full of shit about Collingwood.

Essendon* ;)

Thats right, there is no Alan Richardson at Collingwood is there?????

They're finished! Doomed!

Gives us negotiating power in a year or so when we have to trade SOS back to the blues. :P

If he can teach us that how to avoid a tackle in the phone box thing will be worth his wait in gold. :P

Welcome to the good guys Harves.

Ou est Hamill???

The role is a part time development role and not head of development.

but Harvs is a perfect fit for the club. His professionalism, work ethic & attitude is
what we ant around the club.

Fantastic get for the club!!

Harvs missed out on a flag as a player as we all know, so I'm guessing that he is searching for a flag in some capacity which might be why he chose Carlton above all other offers... 8)

Go Blue Boys!!!

It's a full time role isn't?

It looks like it should be... but the press release is ambiguous, and Melvey seems to reckon it is part time.

Excellent excellent news! No better guy to take the youngies and teach them about being a champion on and off the field. Interesting that he turned down a job at the Aints too, maybe he wants a chance at seeing some silverwear ;)

Does he replace Skinny then?

(They'll be bleeding furious at Saintsational  )

I look forward to reading about how immoral we are and our lack of integrity, that we can even brainwash St Harvey to join the dark side ;)

(But let's keep perspective here, he's no Alan Richardson ;) )

Seriously, would Harvey prefer the Saints or Blues to win next year's flag? If it's the latter, would you think he'd be genuinely pissed off if the Saints were to win, seeing he has departed after such a long stint? Hypothetical I know, but just wondering.

If only young Karl was still with us.

A reporter with an annoying voice from SEN said it was part time.

Bring back Libba.

Libba was that good, he managed to piss off the good players and we nearly won three consecutive spoons with him there. Lappin needs to go back to the drawing board if we want to win four games next year.
