Within the context that you expected a fair bit from this player, which kid has been most disappointing this year?

I know, I know, I know, some of you will be screaming "Hey VB, stop picking on the kids, they're doing their best, and they're just kids!!!", but deep down I bet most of us will be a bit disappointed that Player X or Player Y didn't do as well in 2008 as we'd hoped.

jackson for me. he was the one who had the biggest difference between what i was expecting and what was delivered. but i do hope we retain him and give him another chance.

I'd agree on Jackson. At the start of the year many of us no doubt had him as a guaranteed starter in our best 22 with high hopes for what he could achieve. I don't know how his form with the ants has been, or whether he's been legitimately denied of opportunities, but many of us predicted this would be his year so give it a decent crack.

Hartlett and Edwards come close though. Hartlett because of both injury and lack of form, and Edwards for his inconsistency.

I didn't expect too much from Jacko. Not sure why. Doesn't appear to have bulked up much given he's been there a few years now. Also is a poor kick.

Aisake.

Regardless of rumour or innuendo, I was hoping to finally see him play a senior game so whilst I'm not disappointed in him per se, I am disappointed that I have yet to see his supposed talent.

That just about covers it.

Murphy.

He isn't a patch on Pendlebury as a bare bones footballer and Thomas as a pretty boy squib.

Couldn't even crack a spot in the Victorian squad...

In football terms I still see him as a youngun.

But you already knew that, didn't you?

my 4 y.o ripped off his jumper at 1/2 time vs the Kangaroos and started barracking for "The Kangs".

that was very disappointing.

None of the kids are disappointing. They are young blokes wearing the hallowed navy blue playing the hardest and greatest game on earth. I love everyone of them.

Yeah, but at least I'm not taking potshots from behind a keyboard at kids who are busting a gut for my footy club.........

I don't think he's intending to take potshots at the kids.

At this time of year some people can't resist creating endless threads and polls, which isn't the issue, but the quality just isnt there at times.

I'm with you DUC - I'd built up what this kid could do in my mind on the feedback of last year - was telling plenty of people that he was going to be like an improved version of Setant (who people up here know I love) and that we'd be loving his work......

I wish I'd seen it, and if there's a chance (which I highly doubt based on the inability to crack even 1 start) - then I'd look forward to seeing him next year....

Easily Edwards for mine. Not because he was the worst, but because I really expected him to come on this year as a valuable forward. Especially after some great signs in the NAB cup, but haven't really seen any improvement since then. Hopefully next year
