BTW. Sam Higgs, ex bullants seconds player and 2 other bullants rejects also play with McCormick. Wang should win in a canter

The guy who finished first is more interesting. 21 yo small forward kicked 75 goals or so. Hayden Vaneltine I think - saw it on foxtel.

If only I knew of a club in need of a small forward who can kick goals...umm, let me think

I agree koutahooter, Carlton are screaming out for a small forward who can kick more than 30 goals in a season. Pick him up with a late pick or in the pre-season would do no harm.

Just to let any interested know, Ross Young is favourite to take out the Sandover Medal today for the best player in the WAFL. Good to see some of our ex-Carlton boys doing well for themselves elsewhere.

Blackers should poll well in a poor team. I've heard from a source within the club that he's been their BOG in the overwhelming majority of games.

The comments highlight the challenges in recruiting mature age players from competitions like these. IMO WH has gone well with Army, Garlett & Co.

Still believe from that lot Blake Campbell could've been a good footballer for us, but I think a combination of lack of work rate, injuries and that Pagan wasn't a fan of his led to his short career..

We certainly drafted or rookied some bloody good ordinary footballers for a while there, othere ex CFC players to poll votes (on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis):

Young - 43
Blackwell - 35
Troy Longmuir - 14
Andrew Merrington - 13
Callum Chambers - 9
