WE ARE CARLTON

We do not need the rest, that is all is needed, in fact, Flower the rest. Solves both problems, great saying, some get the real meaning, those that don't have a great slogan regardless.

We are Carlton... I'm getting deja vu - has that been done before? Any decent Carlton fan will know where we are coming from with that line.

Nice one Chucky. Real succinct.

Why not validate your response instead of shitcanning an idea from a passionate Carlton supporter?

its shit, pure and simple. The "@#$%&! the rest quote" is childish and immature and I have mentioned before that it is an embarrasment.

Fair enough, you explanation validates you comment.

For the record - I agree that your opinion that the catchline (although appreciated by Carlton supporters at the time - and destined for folklore) isn't suitable as a marketing line for the club.

I love the saying, but I wouldn't be promoting the club with it... :)

How about:

"Normal service is now resumed!!!" (although this could backfire if we lose a few games)

"The Empire Strikes Back" (with royalties and copyrights to Lucas Arts)

"Game on Moles!!" (my personal Fave but probably not PC enough)

"P17...its time"

"Carlton...no longer counting chickens"

"P17...Just taking it one Premiership at a time"
