Mods - how about making this thread a sticky so we can always find it when we need to update it or just want to know status of player X?

There is an article in the paper saying that Murphy has agreed to a new deal and that Waite should be announced soon. SEN this morning said both had re-signed.

Judd is on the list, in 2013.
Greg Denholm said this morning that Murphy had signed a 3 year deal and Waite was about to re-sign.

With all the discussion about trades and delistings and who's still on contract, I thought I'd try and compile a list of contract situations for Carlton players. Talked to Rod Ashman yesterday and asked about Murphy's contract. He said to his knowledge he was secured, either has signed or just a formality.

Good news, hope that is the case. Any news on Waite?

at the end of 2010, gold coast will have access to these uncontracted players if we don't sign 'em up soon. i'm not too worried about stevo and fish, but we should just sign gibbs up asap. grigg and austin should also be priorities but if we lose gibbs 'cause of this stupid rule, i wll go ape shit.

Gibbs or any other player has to agree to go to the GC team, dont think that will happen anyway.

Unless the player is a dud, or doesn't think his club is going anywhere any time soon, that would be the only way players would agree to go to GC.

GC would give them the playing time they don't get at thier old clubs if they are being overshadowed. Somehow I don't think Grigg, Austin or Gibbo would have to worry bout that one. :)

An extra $1m total player payment allowance might temp some top players northwards.

oh great, on sen they announced it as gold coast will have access to 16 uncontracted players and for some reason i thought it didn't matter whether the player wanted to go or not.

Some fairly good talent still seemingly uncontracted for next year and beyond.

Getting close to trade week...

Does anyone know if Murphy and Waite have actually signed yet, if so why no announcement from the club?

I am wondering about Murphy as well. All is too quiet. Would someone be able to find out and maybe ask him at the best & fairest ?
