Here's a question - imagine it is 26mins into the 3rd qtr, Hawks are 55 pts up, Buddy has 101 gls, Fev has 98 gls. What does Clarkson do? With the game over and Buddy happy, does he go out of his way to make sure Fev can't reach 100 gls? ie: does he triple team him and flood our forwardline like we've never seen before? Or does he actually show some good sportsmanship and let Fev get to 100? Am I being naive to even contemplate that Clarko might do the latter?

Clarko doesn't have it.

nor should he. this is a professional sport, not a charity event. If it was fev on 101 and buddy on 98, i would want carlton to do whatever is possible to prevent buddy to kick his 100th. plus there is a matter of the coleman medal that is awarded after 22 games, and doesn't include finals.

fev will get it anyway

habib, I was referring to the Battle of Britain game in reference to Clarko and sportmanship.

No way. It's a bloody competitive game going on out there, why would he be giving any charity to anyone? Football supporters love giving it to opposition supporters on anything and everything so I hope Clarkson doesn't do it.

If it was the other way round, would you want Ratts to do the same? I wouldn't!

Agree with this.

They will want to send a message to the other teams in the finals, loud & clear, that is for sure.

Whether they succeed or not remains to be seen.

well we're both playing for similar things then i think... ratts has been strong on finishing off the year on a high and sending a msg to everyone in the afl.
we want to come out on top, beat a top four team (for the second time this year) and show everyone that from next year onwards we will be an unstoppable force! yay plus, i get to do my evil plan laugh

If a top four side lets an opposition full forward kick 8 goals then they have big problems.

There is no way Fev will reach the ton.

Won't stop me hoping and wishing, but it will not happen. If Fev needed 10 goals two games ago he needed to kick 8 against Brisroy, not the other way around.

Ducking for cover alright was Clarkson, dirty prick, read Jimmy Buckley's account of the story.

"So just before they bounced the ball for the second half, I went up to Clarkson and we were into it, punching on for three or four minutes. I was knackered. I said to Rhys: 'You take over, I'm stuffed', so then Rhys was hammering the shit out of him, and the last thing I remember was him hiding behind the goal umpire down the other end."

Very naive indeed.....

He would do the most pathetic, gutless, spineless thing he could do and spoil a party by flooding.

I hope it was worth it, you egg-headed, disturbed little midget.

reality is that the dawks would never want Fev to share the day with the lunatic.

but it was barko's chance to give something back for the battle of britain. He failed.

He will rue the day, because we will remember.

maintain the rage.....

That decision by Hawthorn to put four players on Fev will come back to haunt them.I have no doubt about it.

You don't give the opposition free ammunition, and Hawthorn have given Carlton plenty of ammunition for the next couple of years ahead.

They will rue that decision.

Yes, Clarko was a wanker last night. He ruined what could have been a great moment for Carlton supporters (not as good as a flag by any means though).
