Fast improving CFC

Let's hope the club reneges on its decision to extend Ratten's contract.

Let's hope those involved with our club learnt a hell of a lot out of this game.

And who ever signed Brad Fisher on a new 2 year deal should had in there resignation

No doubt Murph, Gibbs, Grigg and Juddy will be a force to be reckon with. Unfortunately our second tier running players are just not up to it. The club must turn over this list and continually to turn over the list until we have the right combination

why would i get on here after a performance like that and sing there praises. poor performance but expected.

Are we improving?? or are there more sliding??

Seen no improvement forward. No improvement in pack work and in close. Comes down to the direction of our head coach

Melvey has a point. And he's certainly entitled to make it.

Stick to discussions about the topics at hand...not personal attacks against other posters.

I wasnt bothered by the result last night end of a long year for the young list all it was hyped on was the Fev and Buddy circus

Watch the game both teams where playing the Buddy and Fev show in the first quarter Fev had 2 shots missied buddy had 2 shots he got his ton. Hawks then changed to playing footy in the lead up for the finals blues prob just kept trying for Fev to get his ton compromising any Game plan we had ... This was a game is really one i wouldnt be loosing sleep over. The Year has ended on 10 wins thats 3 more than we achieved in last 2 years

Thats the first time we have had 10+ since 2004 and that was a year we treaded water with recycled players unlike 2008 which is now moving up the ladder basd on a core of young players

2009 will see us move forward and into finals i do look at similarites with the Hawks in 2006 we are around 2 year behind them at this stage

Yes there will be changes in the list some players will be reviewed but hey this year we are capable of beating 13 teams out of 15 with Geelong and Hawks being the exceptions.

Last year and previous years i would be wondering what team we could beat

2009 will bring another trade / draft period to tweak the list.. Will have allowed Ratten to have first full year with the list. Will be another start where our young guns have had another pre-season.

This result vs what happened to North and the Pies i would have been far more annoyed if the Blues where in the same position as North and Collingwood to get beaten on the last round leading into finals against teams with nothing to play for
