1. Not having to listen or see Denis Pagan crap on about "Blue Skies"
2. Ability to fight out games and the never say die attitude that has been missing for the past 4 years.
3. Development of Gibbs, Murph, Jamo, Kreuzer, JR
4. The wins over Magpies, Power, Dogs and Lions
5. Seeing Judd in a Carlton jumper
6. Backline slowly taking shape.
7. Finances starting to look good

Round 5 v Melbourne:

After a great hanball by Scotland, JUDD recieves then takes off, has a bounce steadies and drills it from 55 out!!!!!!!!!

At that moment i looked at my cousin and said wow imagine when this bloke get's fit.

Then later in the game:

Chips it to grigg on the wing, runs past for the hanball and sidesteps some demon idiot then drills it down Fev's throat.......

To bad this was all done while wearing that white jumper :wink:

My personal one would be round 4 against Collingwood.

Great day, fantastic match, unbeatable atmosphere.

MrsKK got to see her first Blues match at the G, and even she was jumping up out of her seat screaming for Judd and Fev in the last qtr.

Plus, I got to meet CK.

1. Have been competitive for 90% of most games and had a chance to win in them ( unlike last few seasons )

2. Beating Collingwood twice

3. The club being back on the path to rightful place up top... i really believe the next 2-4 seasons we will be right in the mix to win a premiership

4. Judd coming to the club was and is massive

5. The improvement of players such as Bower, Jamison, Grigg, Gibbs and Kruzer

Living in Perth it was fantastic to go to Subi and win for the first time in 7 years. And it was early enough in the season that the WCE supporters were still quite smug about their team. Bloody loved wiping it from their faces and letting them know about it!

In a historical sense:

* hitting the 8 for the first time in 7 years
* Fevola maybe hitting 2nd / 3rd place on our all time best years list
* record comebacks that changed the record books
* starting a new consecutive win record against Port...

In comparison to last year, we actually have a few positive records to add to the Blueseum Book of Records:

Highlights of 2008 for me include:
* Beating the 'Wobbles twice;
* The emergence of Murphy, Gibbs, Grigg, Kreuzer, Bower, Anderson, etc
* The defence- taking shape nicely, with Waite at the helm;
* Stirring wins over Port (twice), Lions, the Doggies, as well as the 'Wobbles;
* People are slowly starting to view us as a threat in the long term;
* A exciting year to see the eventual growing of a very good footy team; and
* Ratts and the coaching team- credit to them for implementing an updated game plan which has some sustainability- unlike Pagan's "Ah, he'll learn from that" bullshit :twisted:

When Kruz burst out of the middle in the first Brisbane match. Even though we lost, it was a beacon of hope.

On that note, the emergence of youtube and bigpond and the fact that there are so many great highlights packages of the Blues from this year has been great.

Those Port and Pies games, the Fevola shows, the Juddster, the roar of the crowd, Kreuzer fulfilling the hype and consistently demonstrating his pure courage backing into oncoming traffic, Gibbs' candy selling, Army's fanatical approach, the way the crowd lights up when Eddie gets the ball, Jamo's glove likedness... this year has been a joy to behold. Hope it finishes on a positive tonight.

Another couple of guns courtesy of Hughesy would be a nice way to round out the year.
