So i saw the episodes that covered the Carlton stuff last night. I was excited going in as it was combining two of my passions - The Blues and Kiss.

What a disappointment!!!!

The whole thing was staged around Gene being the new owner of Carlton and us not being very good and Gene basically trying to offload us. Fev was portrayed as a non Carlton player who was the big recruit to save the club. Disappointing it was so fictional, I'm sure the US audience would lap it up not knowing much about AFL, it was tailored to the whole private team ownership culture in US sport. There were footy show scenes with Gene being announced as the new owner etc. Didnt translate well for anyone who is a follower of AFL as anything close to realistic.

It was covered in Series 3 Episode 29 for those who want to see it.
