Pro:

The way we've played against teams above us this year is a massive improvement on the last 5.

Pros:

Finally went to a more modern mobile defence in the last qtr. Two talls and runners. We got to contests quicker and had more run.

Finally got Waite up forward. He is a genuine " X FACTOR " and should be used as such. Other people can do defensive jobs.

Finally used Cloke as a permanant forward. Is a strong mark and a good kick. Looks natural in the position.

Anderson got game time. May make some mistakes but this kid will be a star, just give him time in defence. Put Armfield in as well.

Houlihan, a little bit of skill goes a long way. A real genuine small goalkicker.

Murph and Gibbs under pressure, fantastic.

Great start.

Straight kicking for goal.

Another away record bites the dust.

Cons:

Carrazzo is NOT a defender, needs to play on ball or not at all.

That third qtr.

Opposition kicking over 100 pts again.

Walker flying for hangers to often in fwd line.

PRO:
Hoops return. He is all class.
Cloke. He has a future. Only 23m and 46 games under the belt. He's going to get better.
Ratts. Made changes late in defence and they worked.
Bower. Went onto the hottest forward in the opposition team and shut him down.
Thornton. Got a bath from Bradshaw, then he was moved onto a better player... and played him like it was easy.
Everyone else. No passengers today.

CONS.
The umps. Bad all around, but seriously... the free against Hampson in the 3rd that led to a goal for Bradshaw. I'm still confused.
The 3rd. They just swept us aside when they were totally switched on.

Pros:

- It is games like this when you see the value of Gibbs and Murphy, yes Judd and Stevens were good in the last quarter, but the work of a 19 year old and a 20 year old was just un-freaking-believable. Just watch the pack work of Murphy and Gibbs!! I do not think we even have to bother to find another in and under player, these guys plus Judd in two years time will smash anyone else in the competition in the packs. Add Kreuzer and well the combination in the packs could be Lethal.

- Bower, already mentioned it but to come back from a corky where he could not jump off one leg and then go on to smash an in form star of the competition in Bradshaw in the last quarter. BOWER WILL BE A STAR.

- I really hope cloke can work on his endurance to try and gain a spot in our forward line. He has a chance to have a longer career doing that than being a ruckman.

- Waite should be played forward most of the time, but that is obvious. He actually did a pretty good job on Brown. Couple of clangers though.

Cons:

- JR's tag on TJ. Waste of a player. Johnstone is an outside player, he was started on the bench, they were not kicking the ball anywhere near him, would have barely played 50% of the game. A waste of a tag. JR did barely OK, turned it over roughly as many times as moving it on.

Good intensity from the blues. Hope it continues.

Got lost in the headlights bigtime in the 3rd qtr but regrouped and shamed Brisbane in front of the home crowd.

Murph really stood up for mine as a leader. Great to watch.

Can you pleae tell me Johnston's stats for last week, and how much game time he had?

Can you tell me whether you rate Johnstone at all? I don't.

I thought it was a waste to have a tag on a player that was only played for 50-60% of the game and has not been a prime mover for them over the last 5 or 6 weeks? That just seems silly.

Stevo was by far our BOG tonight.

If you want me to list all Pros I might be here for a while.

No need for name calling just because comments don't support your bias.

Its not as if I put him in the cons, mind you he had no one on him :-D

No idea about last week but I can tell you this week he had 5 kicks and 3 handballs with 4 clangers in that lot.

That's all I'm interested in. You reckon JR gives us nothing offensively so Ratts used him defensively...........I think he did the job he was given and considering the margin in the end he was probably the match winner

No doubt Russell did a good job, but is was on their 4th or 5th best midfielder. Can we afford to keep sacrificing a player week in week out?

Is it that Ratten admits that Russell cannot play offensively?

Hey mate you and Keogh are the first to bag him.

He was clearly in our best 3 players tonight and you don't have the guts to give credit where credit is due.

I know you have your opinions on him and that's fine coz that's your opinion but geez

Says alot about someone in my eyes.

I think the rampaging TJ had 13 possessions last week, would love to see your praise of his opponent from the Bulldogs, although I doubt he had a tag for the entire game last week on and off the bench.

so a kid does his job better than perfectly and you still want to hang him out to dry. You folks are bordering on pathetic.

Just watched the game on 30 minutes delay

Pros
Loved Houla's first quarter
Murph's dash
Gibbsy's composure under pressure
Fev's team efforts
Bower's last quarter mark
Clokey has a future as a forward
Juddy!
Stevo ran and ran and ran.. no respect from Matthews
Joey's last quarter effort
Credit to Thornton for turning it around in the last.
Fev only needed to kick 2 for us to win

Cons
Disposal still needs dramatic improvement.
Poor concentration in the 3rd
Some bewildering decisions by the umpires but I thnk it evened out over the night.

Bring on the DAWKS!
