Fair changes. Still no Eddie though.

What happened with the Wiggler's charging charge? Did he accept the reprimand? Cos if he's out injured he may as well have contested it.

It's funny that Walker gets named at full back.

Got a funny 'ole feeling Tex may get J Brown. Fast, strong, tough and good leap, he plays "tall" better than anyone on our list (Jamo close second). Houla in to take his place forward? It's often the more mobile, smaller, strong players that do best on him. Campbell Brown, for instance. I also remember Hickmott having a good game on him at the Gabba many moons ago.

I MADE A WHOLE THREAD ABOUT IF WIGGINS SHOULD HAVE CHALLENGED THE CHARGING CHARGE BUT IT TURNED INTO A HISTORY LESSON ............ lol

Stupid move not to challenge it if he was injured anyway, worst case would have been a guilty verdict, missing a game he is missing through injury anyway, and 25 points carry over instead of 93.75 iirc .............

Like the way they have been named, albeit they rarely set up as named, but to me it shows the MC are happy to try things, if indeed, as I say, they do line up like that.

Waitey on a wing, Clokey at CHF, Jamo CHB, although I would have expected maybe AW to go forward, with Bower, Army or Houla down back. Maybe Houla fwd. Like a kid in a lollie shop.

Good stuff for mine. Bit of lateral thinking. Or a Plan B if you will.

Yeah I was hoping that thread may have contained some related information at some point.

Would be happy for Walker to play CHB (on Brown, will run off him). Been pushing that for a long while. Hope Cloke plays CHF and Waite on a wing.

Happy to see Houla in, has Eddie been put in cotton wool? Like playing three talls, I reckon we have better balance with that set up.

Have to wonder if MC question some players positions on list. We have only won 2 of past 5 and had our worst loss last week yet Pfieffer, Austin, Anderson, Hadley or Jacobs can't get a look in. Thought with two games to go timing would be perfect?

Can't really be based on form in Ants as Austin was much better than Bower last week and Pfieffer has been consistently good?

I would of thought they would have a chance in last two games ahead of a few others.

Could be it for Saddington?

Whats wrong with Wiggens

Did look as tho he hurt his foot or leg in our goal square (rushed behind) I think in 3rd or 4th qtr. Noticed him immediately jump in pain & then gingerley trod away.
Looked as tho someone landed on his foot/leg when coming down from the aerial contest.

We might be tanking 8)

Mentions a calf injury for Simon on the CFC website.

NO Anderson
No Aisake
No Austin

I reckon Thornton can count himslef very lucky to be playing
Ditto Russell

Browne and Armfield are lucky as well based on their past fortnight

Once again in a meaningless contest for us we have gone conservative

These games should be an opportunity for someone to be given a go

Another pissweak selection fuckup from our MC

Don't mind Browne & Armfield staying in, they need to the experience. I just hope they get the game time.

I do wonder why some of Anderson, Blackwell, Joseph, Pfieffer, Austin, Jacobs, Aisake, Hadley, Jackson haven't been given a run.

We have only won 3 out of our past 8 games and were thrashed last week. Surely before the end of the year we need to look at other players.

For me Thornton, Russell, Fisher are unbelievably lucky.

Russell doesn't need luck to be selected - he is an automatic selection every week no matter what his form is like.

You know back in the early 1980's Parkin had the courage to drop players such as Harmes, Marcou and others. If Parkin can drop bone fide champions - i don't see why Ratten can't drop players that aren't even close to being in the same league - eg Russell.

..yeah, i agree.. ..if only those with footskills were harder under the bottom of the packs to dish out to our crappy kickers, then we'd move forward fer sure..

:-D

As I said three wins out of eight games is obviously okay?

Has it been considered by anyone that whilst still a mathematical chance to make finals, that the MC aren't yet ready to "throw in the towel" so to speak, with selections & still want to field our best side available.

And just because some don't agree with the players selected does not mean they aren't the best available.

We win our last two, StK, Coll, Bris & Rich all lose their last two remaining games & it comes down to %. Not likely but still mathematically possible.

If we are absolutely no chance at all to make finals by next week, then they may play a couple of youngsters.

:?: :?:

Well said. Entries into our forward 50 were all so spot on last week, so people who can actually kick a ball properly aren't really required.
