The MC can only work with what they have got.

As I said before Cazz there isn't much at the moment to push him out! If you think he will be part of a premiership 22 that is your opinion but it isn't mine and that is what I look for.

When did Cazz say he'll be part of our premiership 22?

What would you do, play 8 short each week and just play the 14 players on our list who will be part of our next premiership 22?

[Fisher is being found out in the modern game. More possesion and control of the ball. A forward in this type of football needs to be the complete package, good mark, kick, good ground skills, quick to react and move to position and be very good defensively. Unfortunately I think Fishers injuries (especially knee) have robbed him of the ability to contribute in some of those areas.

He was drafted late by us because others clubs were concerned with his lack of speed and skills below the knees. They have become more evident this year.

Fisher was okay in a bad side that got the ball in quick and long and he could use his marking skills. We as supporters sometimes tend to hang on to little things especially when we are losing (Maybe Russell fits that as well).

Unfortunately I think his time is passing him quickly. If you watch him at training he gives everything and works hard to get the most out of himself. Sometimes we have to accept they are not up to it.

Compare the difference when Walker went forward last week.

He's being found out so badly that he's 11th in the AFL for total marks.
He's also being found out so badly that he's averaging more kicks, handballs and marks than at any stage in his career.

Methinks people who sprout unsubstantiated nonsense to support lopsided opinions are the ones being found out.

Even for you verbs I would think that it is obvious that one win won't get you into finals!

Maybe living so close to a Uni isn't rubbing off. Maybe you should get down to teh RE for some mind lubricant. :-D

Incorrect. It only takes one win to win a premiership, which was what you were talking about, not finals, which we are still a chance to make.

The only reason Saddo will remain in the team is if the MC think he will be able to match up on Hale.

Also does anyone else think the only reason Russell is getting a game every week is to advertise him for trading, he wouldn't be worth anything if he played VFL all year, he will be considered as a starting 22 player come next season.

Sorry if I've missed a discussion on this, but are there thoughts on
(i) who will match up on Harvey? someone (on Foxtel?) suggested Carrazzo, but Mr Illy says he's too slow
(ii) Jarrad Waite's role ... vs Petrie?
Thanks, Illy

But aren't we just gonna delist JR at the end of the year, why advertise him :? He'll be first out the door surely?

If that is the criteria then Fisher wouldn't get a game all year.

PLEASE DROP FISHER!!! PLEASE!

Do you actually know the evidence to back up what you're saying?

Fisher has kicked 20 goals 21 behinds, 48%..... Our 3rd Highest goal kicker
Russel has kicked 2 goals 12 behinds, 14%...... shithouse

Both from 18 games. Know what your talking about before calling for players to be dropped

Yeah, interesting one that. I remember hearing a commentator (cannot remember who it was) 2 weeks ago saying 'i've been really impressed with Jordan Russell up forward this year.' ...........

WTF?

Fisher, whilst is an AWESOME mark has really been dissapointing. He should have really kicked 30+ goals as most of the ones his missed have been dead set in front!

So for me, both have been dissapointing. Especially Fisher's around the ground efforts!

It was Steven Quartermain in the last game shown up here on 10.... Adelaide game....

Maybe not but he has played plenty this year and at this stage CFC has won 9 games that he's been apart of. You probably said the same thing about Simmo early on.

So no agreement re Gibbs taking on a shut-down role on Harvey?
If Petrie goes back, does AW get the job?

Personally I don't want to see any of our gun midfielders sacrifice their game to tag Harvey. Head to head I'd back us to beat them in the middle. I'd go with Army, Grigg, or Russel. If any of the others had to maybe Gibbs, but he is so valuable playing in an attacking role, he uses it so well. We need Gibbs to be getting the ball in his hands as often as possible. I think Gibbs shuts down the larger players well ie. Cornes, Goodes, not sure how he'd go on a Harvey type. I'd rather Army

Yeah I like AW on Petrie. AW will keep him honest and if Petrie doesnt stick with him AW could really hurt them. Therefore I think AW will be able to keep Petrie from dropping back and double teaming Fev.
