Or does Samuel's amnesty to Amcor cover that as well ?

It should perhaps be noted that some companies have opted out of the class action and pursued their own actions.

Where I come from life is very simple:

You do the crime. You do the crime but you can not be tried for the same case twice. You can not offer someone immunity and then use technicalities to say no, now will charge you again.

"Sorry we can charge you again because your thousand page statement was not consistent"

" Sorry we can charge you again because we charged your company and now we feel like having a go at you as a private citizen"

Take the name and status of the accused out of this and it is a total witch hunt .......

Here's hoping the lawyers kick Samuel like the dog, Choco accused Tex of kicking when making comments about the in-fighting between Power players.

Hi lawyers [REDACTED] up big time in the first place. Pratty is none too pleased that the documents weren't drawn up right to prevent this from happening to begin with.

What is he paying these cretins for, anyway?

I think those lawyers would have been disposed off, hence Richter being on board.

This is getting very interesting.

Pratt's character has been very heavily defamed through all this.

Is the Pit Bull defence better than the Chewbacca defence?

Richter might be good (he'd wanna be for what he charges)...but many of you might not like the direction this is going. The ACCC has nothing to worry about - legally they've done nothing wrong and talks of entrapment are quite ridiculous. I actually don't see either party walking away with the chocolates here and at the end of the day Amcor will be the biggest losers.

ACCC in conspiracy to prosecute Pratt, court told

Quote:
Lawyers for billionaire businessman Richard Pratt have told the Federal Court, the competition watchdog may have improperly granted immunity to packaging company Amcor against prosecution for cartel conduct.

CC - are you suggesting Richters claim that the ACCC improperly granted immunity is not valid??

Richard Pratt judge slams ACCC late document delivery
Quote:
The ACCC yesterday filed a notice of motion seeking to delay the discovery of the subpoenaed documents.

The group's lawyer, Kerry Judd, told the court the delay was due to the time needed to retrieve electronic documents and restore deleted emails, the difficult process of reviewing all isolated documents and then deciding whether they fell under the supboena.

That's uncanny...
