Until it is called the Timmy Watson medal I won't support it. (due to him being the youngest debutant)

Keith Bromage was the youngest ever player to play VFL/AFL senior football.

You are correct; Bromage 15 years 287 days, Watson (2nd) 15 years 305 days.

no point being the youngest if you are no good - only played 69 games. Award should be named after time watson

I remember watching him at the game on saturday running towards the interchange bench to be replaced by someone else, and as he was running off he diverted off his line a bit just so he could run into and make body contact with a port player. It wasn't as if the port player was in the mix of the play - he just wanted to hip and shoulder him for the sake of it. Definitely has some mongrel and aggression about him.

Grigga should get it, he well and truly deserves it. However there are a few players who deserve one after having rather consistent seasons to date.

Well done to Ratts and the MC for sticking with him.

How the hell can ALIPATE win the RSN this week?

What a champion! He kept Fev to 4.4!! wow! His team lost by 66 points so he deserves it.

If he gets it this week, its a disgrace. I don't really care if Grigg misses out but as long as someone who played a great game in at least a competitive side gets it, I'll be happy.

PS: Brett Favre you little ripper!!

When drafted he had a lot of people on here who knocked him.... whilst I am not knocking them for their view as they have seen many more games of U18 than me (a total of zero)... I want to know what has changed in his game since then?? The only thing that I remember Gilly & co. being correct with is that he was very one-sided.

Will be a beauty in a few years... but I have to say that last years draft will be the cream if you ask me... and some called it a weak draft!?!? Krooooz, Browne and Army....

He rarely worried about his opponent in the TAC and use to free wheel through most games. I was worried about his ability to change his game and be more accountable to suit AFL level. But WH was on the money and did his homework. Grigga looks like he will be a long term prospect. He's got more mongrel in him than I ever saw at U18 Level. Good country type mongrel :-)

I think Grigg has them all covered - only thing Grigg hasn't got is the "skoo" factor - but we get that from Eddie  - I think we have been lacking in a bit of mongrel factor over the past few years and Grigg certainly remedies that deficiency.

I think he is one of the best young players we have recruited.

Has adjusted to the tempo if senior AFL footy quickly, is a hard ar$e, is a decent kick, carries the ball, can do run-withs, and is tall for a mid.

+1.

Seems to have a hard arse attitude about him, which I like. And really looks like he enjoys his footy, which I like. Kicks long left foot goals, I like that also. I like him.

The boy can run and is super quick. Watch how easily he glides across the ground.

In 3 years time, Hampson will be the one we are all talking about. It could end up being the best draft we have ever had. Gibbs, Grigg and Hampson.

Grigg v Jetta. What were we thinking?
