PRO's
I got to see a ten goal win live - that used to be what going to the footy was like week in week out.
The unrecognised (in the media) kids - Grigg, Armfield, Jamo
Multiple goal kickers
Wiggo's mark
Judd wrenching the ball out of PA players hands (several times)
Judd showiing emotion. I have seen Judd play a lot (living in Perth) and he rarely shows that much emotion (witness him on the dias after GF win) Great to see
Waite continuing to play his best footy across half back
Murphy's disposal much better
GIBBS and KRUEZER - superstars

Betts, Hoops, Bower to come back in

Con's

Kicking for goal (as said) esp Fisher
Forwards spoiling each other with no one down (Stevo)
Thornton looked lazy and/or disinterested today
Still no real ruckman although the run will do Hammer good

The selection of Saddington was a waste of a game of development. As Hampson showed, you don't learn anything in the Bullants - it's a shocking environment for development and we need him and others playing for the Blues not the Ants.

Surely the fact that Hammer has a number of games in the 2's and comes back to the seniors with a better game shows that he has been learning in the Bullants.

Anyway pros - Gibbs, Grigg, Walker all fantastic, Armfield's willingness to take them on, Judd of course, and pleasing to see Stevens throw himself headlong into a couple of packs. Kreuzer is just going to be sensational for us for many years.

Cons - Not many today. Carrazzo's habit of receiving the ball, stopping in his tracks and turning backwards to look for his next option has always annoyed me. Doesn't do it all the time but I think it's his default setting, perhaps brought about by his disposal skills, which are actually much improved. Goal kicking ordinary. Opposition was really substandard today, can't imagine winning this game by less than 11 goals they way they played

The boys were all subdued...

...I think they're all used to come-from-behind (not like that) nailbiters... :P

Pro's

30 possessions, 9 clearances, 7 tackles to our 2nd youngest primary listed player 8)

Army's defensive pressure and his run to support

Great support with numbers continually at the contests.

Con's

Poor finishing skills. Where's the development in this area??

Dwayne wasn't there to witness the thrashing.

Good point, well made.

I was a bit surprised that Saddington picked up Westhoff, their most dangerous forward (aside from Motlop), ahead of Thornton.

I actually think his ruckwork today was worse than what we saw from him early in the season when he was getting his hand on a lot of taps.

He looked a bit better around the ground today, but so did everyone - it was a mauling.

I reckon the Bullants is a shocking environment for development with wind, crap grounds, crap playing-coach coaching setup. Hampson should have played much more senior footy this season. Hopefully he stays in the side

BIGGEST PRO TODAY WAS THE HAMMER

His selection gave our forward line so much flexibility with Cloke and Kreuzer down there

Hammer is raw but he showed a lot today

I think he's looked that way for a while now. He's been pretty poor lately.

Pros:

after todays performance I think the best things to come from this year are

JAMO is the revelation of the YEAR - New jersey and new number ordered.

GIBBS comming on in leaps and bounds is the feel good story of the year we knew would happen.

GRIGG has blossomed and I think suprised everyone and I couldnt be happier

WAITE I pefer as CHF but is almost unstoppable as CHB - a complete success as he is playing out of his skin even disposals have improved

FISH has been down on confidence but still presents well and runs all day
Someone should tell the guy JUST to do snap kicks - they are by far his most accurate kick this year.

There is something not right if 2 shots from the same spot one goes left and right goes right of the goals....

SIMMO - Complemented by TEX - nuff said :)

Bring on 2009

- Get to see a 10 goal belting fo the first time live
- Gibbs first half
- Judds 2nd half - stamped class
- Scooter good
- Murph was good today but like gibbs was well held at times

- Carrazzo was solid all day yes he did his run off back of packs for handball recieves but at least now his next disposal is to a carlton player moving forward and rarely missed a beat today - like last week GOOD WORK SON keep it up id say was BOG as he played well for 4 quarters.

- Saddo played OK thos saying he didnt do too much or anything should I dont know watch it again gave more then hartlet and edwards and even pushed forward and caused a few headaches - he played well.

Cons:

- I love Army and his dash only concern when he is running forward he tends to just jam the ball on his boot - granted its probably more effective then most but yeah needs a bit of work.

- Should have buried them at 15min mark of the 1st
- over finnessing the ball

Biggest CON for the entire match:

- Although we were wininng Carlton supporters behind me in the social club found every reason to bag our players constantly ....You wouldnt have thought we were winning all DAY....

- people using foul language at the football

*please refrain from using foul language on these boards*

I agree with everything being mentioned and I'm not going to repeat most of it except;

So playing Hammer in a Carlton jumper on a ground suitable for an elite athlete is a PRO; I agree.

PRO: All us Hammer supporters finally saw our 200cm ruckman in the team, adding value and getting ground time in preparation to his 2009 onslaught.

Pros
- We Won from the first bounce!
- And how!!!

Cons
- We lost a bit of intensity in the last: we should have won by heaps more!
- Too Much Finals talk! You'll put the moz on if you keep that up
- Fev won't get the Coleman

reckon fisher needs to go also - all misses were within 30-40, no angles
