The trouble is Browne swung his shoulder around in a forceful manner causing severe impact. The only way he can get off is to argue he had no other choice.

To go from four weeks to zero weeks is a huge jump.. Do you really think the AFL would be happy with that?

Gee I really hope I'm right. I will never post here again maybe, if not.

Totally ridiculous.

If this gets upheld the AFL will have to create a guideline for a safe distance for players to remain from each other at all times.

FFS this is a CONTACT SPORT, and like it or not boys, ACCIDENTS WILL HAPPEN. Duty of care my arse.

Football will get to the McDonald Coffee Cup stage - "Caution contents are hot".

2 - 1 = 1

Did you mix up your + & - signs?

Look, verbs you have proudly displayed your credentials as a carlton supporters to all the folk of TC for years.

You have proudly said that you have NEVER criticised a single carlton player EVER!

Lofty ambitions indeed. And good on you!

Which makes your witchhunt of Mr Browne most perplexing???

What did he do wrong in your virgin-milked-dew-filled eyes?

It must have been pretty bad for verbs to turn against a CARLTON player.

I hope he gets all the week verbs wishes upon him. Maybe then we have some tiny chance, minute even to somehow scramble from the ashes and reclaim our name as a 'verbs' approved team. :| :| :|

Read the thread Mr Maths. Aside from where I said good on him I have neither criticized nor applauded the incident. Merely I have read the rules and applied them to the incident. No emotion at all.

Maths and comprehension down the drain in one fell swoop. What a shame.

I thought at the time it looked pretty bad. On a different angle I decided it wasn't as bad as I'd first thought, but it still looked like Browne's force was intentional. Added to that it wasn't part of the play and was a long way off the ball, so I knew it would be considered quite poorly by the match review panel. .

It is quite clear that Browne meets the Adelaide with plenty of force a long way off the ball.

it was behind play and looked nasty. If Browne hadn't swung his shoulder around like he did he'd be off scott free right now.

given I was expecting one week three is hard in my books. It was miles off play which is fact and it looked intentional at first which is not a criticism at all. It looked like he intentionally lined him up and as said good on him.

It's really not that hard if you actually have some common sense.

verbs should be ashamed at criticising a carlton player the way he has, it is quite shocking and shows that even the most dedicated sycophants get angry sometimes.

you do the time you pay the crime. So many on here want us to be tougher. It will mean the odd suspension but it hasn't done Hawthorn any harm.

You really do struggle at times Jarusa.

I hate that you want good Carlton players to be suspended.

Where is your heart?

My heart is firmly with the concept that opposition teams will know we have a hard dip at them.

You can read into it whatever you want. Ultimately your crusade is futile.

You'll still be being all riled up by me in 2018. That's 10 years from now if you were wondering.
