Many things pissed me off but most of all was the lack of defensive pressure on their ball carriers, especially in the third qtr.

We can blame umpires and rightfully so, but we have to accept most of the blame for losing this one.

I agree...we only have ourselves to blame. Not using the ball well in the last qtr when they were out on their feet is the other major reason we lost.

Still absolutely gutted.....

I didn't get to see the first half but by all accounts, we were the better side.

Had the displeasure of listening to the 3rd on the way home from my footy and it was almost like we weren't there. They just smashed us.

Then to comeback like we did only to fall short due to poor disposal, decision making and finishing? So so disappointing...

I suppose the only positive, for us that try and look at the positive side of things, is that the things that costs us the game is in our control to improve. It's not like we played our abolsute A game and got outclassed by superior opposition.

No doubt the boys, coaching staff and all involved will be absolutely gutted. And they should be.

But we need to start playing 4 qtrs of footy. We shouldn't have to rely upon our now customary 4th qtr fightback. It's not the recipe for sustained success against quality opposition.

I dont know why we persist with Jordan Russell.. Too often butchers the ball, misses easy shots at goal.. How much has he improved this year??

I'd say maybe 5%.. Big deal.. Gibbs, Betts, Murphy, Grigg, Jamo have progressed far better..

*snip*

We lost?

Damn!

I don't like losing. We have to not lose any more so I'm happy.

My scapegoat of the week is Thornton. Thought he was useless and am sick of him punching the ground....here's an idea Brett, try punching the ball.

THORNTON'S MARK WAS A MARK!!! BAD BAD BAD UMPIRING MISTAKE.

ADVANTAGE FOR FEV TO PLAY ON CALLED. CLEARLY NO ADVANTAGE. BLOODY UMPIRED TRIPPED HIM UP. CALL THE BALL BACK IF THERE IS NO ADVANTAGE!!!

RUSSELL, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...WORK ON YOUR GOAL KICKING...

MURPH, YOU ARE A GREAT YOUNG PLAYER. BUT PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...LOOK AROUND MORE. YOU GET TACKLED AND CAUGHT HOLDING THE BALL FAR TOO MUCH. NEED TO BE QUICKER AND MORE ALERT TO YOUR SURROUNDINGS!!!

Ok...I feel better now. Blues to make the finals and win the premiership in 2008!!!

If a player wants to play on then the advantage rule does not apply. The advantage rule only applies when another player takes the ball other than the player who received the free kick.

When a player chooses to play on then they take the risk of getting tackled by an opposition player or being accidently tripped by an umpire. Bad luck Fev and bad luck Carlton.

I'm shattered - apparently we've been playing against shit all year and should be on top a mile clear of those pansies from the cattery

Agree

He should wear footy boots with longer stops; try keep his feet.
He should stop giving obvious free kicks away in the forward 50; dumb.
Should stand on the side or in front of his man; body on body when the ball is coming not after a goal.
If he's going to be the genaral play making he should quicken the pace and go direct to the corridor.
He's too short for resting ruckmen; he's gone backwards last 2 years.

We've now got Walker who could take his spot and Bower coming back; and lastly Setanta should be playing on resting ruckmen..

Well that's what it looks like from the screen
