My Blue Boys have provided joy once again this season. Although they lost on the weekend l can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!
The wins, the structure in plays, player development.......finally

I'm not, it is a wasted season.
At the start of the season I would have taken 8-10 wins but looking at how the season has unfolded we have lost too more inferior teams compared to beating the good teams.

I agree about the light

the weaknesses we have are narrowing down, the strengths are increasing

hopefully we can continue to build depth into the list too.

Wish it was next year already!

We haven't lost by more than 10 goals this year...YAY!

On the flip side, we haven't won by 10 goals either. Boo.

So much to be positive about this year....I will be very disappointed if we don't play finals next year.
As a matter of fact I expect only three teams (Geelong, Hawthorn and W Bulldogs) to be better than us next year. We will at least be on par with everyone else at the start of the year. Top four is a possibility!

A very happy camper here. This season is a joyous one regardless of whether we play finals or not.

When you look at things closely we're are just behind Sydney (beat us by 2 points) and Adelaide (8 points) and beat the Bulldogs by almost 5 goals.

Coming from second last, which was on the back of last the year before, I think only the most optimistic punters foresaw the amazing on field development we have achieved.

I'm happy, we have met or exceeded most expectations - can't complain about that.

Last week was our worst loss though.

VERY Happy!

- No Pagan :-)
- CHRIS JUDD!
- Fevola might kick 100.
- No losses by more than 100 points.
- Bryce Gibbs emerging as elite.
- Kreuzer showing why he went 1.
- 2 AWESOME come from behind wins in Port & The Bulldogs.
- More than 5 wins for the first time in 3 years.
- Record Membership.
- 2 away wins in a season for the first time since 2001.

Looking at all those above.................... what the @#$%&! is there NOT to be happy about?

Sure, we should have won some games that we lost of our own boots, but just think how good the likes of Grigg / Bower & Armfield are gonna be next season with some games under their belts. VERY Excited about those 3 creating play out of the backline.

Great Season

I am happy that we appear to be developing well.

But I still want more. Much more.

I'm satisfied so far, but can definitely see better things in the future.

Happy, well, that's a bit of an intangible. Like Surrey says, wait til after round 22.

Gee ryan, I know it's been a good season if you can list all that and you left off the TWO wins over Collingwood :-D

Very happy with the season so far, last week's loss notwithstanding. It's been like trapped in a long, dark tunnel and someone fumbling for the torch, finally shone it on the other side- a very bright (and incandescent!) future! 8)

I'm not appy unless we make the finals - never have been, never will be.

Finals are a minimum, top 4 is preferrable, #1 is acheivable.

After I get over my anger and frustration of a loss like on Saturday, I am very happy with how the year has gone. We are still young and coming together as a aide with an addition like Judd which has changed the dynamics of our on-ball group and essentially still a new coach. 2008 was always about development and we have seen this.

Having said that, we have been in the hunt for the 8 for several weeks and naturally there is disappointment that we will probably fall short. And when you essentially lose the game like we did on Saturday (and thanks to the umps for playing their part!) it pisses you off.

Regardless though, we are on the up

I am happy, but at the same time disappointed. I expect to win every game now, which in itself is a vast improvement.

We have had 3 golden opportunities to put ourselves into serious finals contention & have failed each time.

St.Kilda, Sydney & Crows games were all winnable & we lost them more so, than they beat us.

I think we'll look back at this season as an opportunity lost, as well as a stepping stone to No.17.
