Have Ackland out of the square as a big target.

Fev leading from FF and Thornton as a mobile CHF.

Then have Houlihan as small fwd with Murph, Gibbs & Judd rotating through a pocket and Waite and Walker pusing through from a wing?

Fair enough, but Houla would have to be weeks away after the time he's had off. Would have to absolutely dominate today to have any chance. If he was fit and ready, agree, he would be the obvious Eddie replacement.

That people are putting Ackland's name forward as an option highlights just how dyer our need is :(

Sadly, yes.

Before y'day, who would have thought "no-name" Moran would have been the Crows matchwinner? 4 goals, FFS.

Moran is an ex Roos player. He has been around for a few years and yesterday was probably his best game of his career.

Some would say that he is doing better than JR.

Not me though. :-D

I, almost despreately, wats to see Hampson in the side next week against port !!!!!!!!!!Throw Kruezer up to CHF to give him a break from the ruck and play Hampson and Cloke as the SOLE ruck options, NO MATTER how badly they are going. Worst comes to worst, our Midfield can just rove off of the Port ruck. (crappy option but I dont want to see Kruzer in there AT ALL next week. We rely on him WAY too much too early).

I would also personally like to see one of out mid fielders released into a forward flank to cover Betts next week, and play Carrots more in the mid field than in the backline. I think Nick Stevens could be released into the forward line, playing a role ala Aker for the Bulldogs ...........

Not sure what you would do with this info coryne, but Hammer rolled his ankle at training on Friday and didn't play for the Ants today.

LMFAO, um, well, scrap my 1st point then ...................... WE SOOO NEED A NEW RUCKMAN !!!!!!!!!! Scrap Ackland and Cloke and throw what ever you have to at Dean Brogan to get him over until our young ruckmen in Kruezer, Hampson and Jacobs are ready ..........

I don't reckon he is big enough to play there permanantly. I prefer him to run free. Maybe as a wingman pushing fwd or HFF instead of Fisher.

I would play Cloke there for the rest of the year to see if he is up to it and bring in Hampson or Jacobs to have a run in the ruck.

i agree. reckon fisher should have a rest and try someone else - seems like jacko deserves a go

The guy is a utility, he'll play where he fits best and that will change for different teams, thier players, who he will fit with best and how well we are doing in the game. It's all about strategy and his versatility is why he is such a good player.
No point in saying that he is going to permanently play on one half of the field becuase he won't.

I think Ratten has named Waite at CHF about half a dozen times this season but never goes through with it on game day. Its like has has the cahooners to write it down on paper but is to soft to try it out.

Aisake?

RR and others' reports on the Ants game reckon he looked great in his 10 minute stints per quarter....more imposing than Hampson.

Please lets have a look at the 203cm athlete bust a move on the big arena.
