Was looking at the ladder in last weekends sunday age, and Carlton has recieved 204 free kicks this season.

EVERY other team has recieved over 300, with 315 frees for the WB the next lowest.

We also have 3 of the AFL's top 8 for giving away frees, Fev with 35 against, Carrazzo with 31 against, and Waite with 30 against. Buddy tops this stats table too, with 53 against  .

I can't think of any reason why we are so low in getting free kicks. Its not like we are soft at the ball or anything like that? Judd gets the most frees for with 32.

In light of todays umpiring i thought it was a valid point to bring up.

Go Nuts.

Everyone hates us, and wants us to lose. Comes with the territory.

those stats don't sound right to me. After today we have had 347 for and 368 against for the season.

The numbers speak volumes about bias umpiring; that's what they do.

I didn't need stats to tell me that.

But thanks for the stats Shippy

Thats what the Sunday Age was reporting in their ladder. Then again it wouldnt be the first time they had made a clanger. Definately said 204 free kicks for.

The free kick count today was 28-23 in Adelaide's favour. Some of the comments on here would have you think it was 40-20.

Oh hang on, free kick counts shouldn't be the only thing taken into account when evaluating the performance of the umpires. I didn't see the game today but going on the comments of many it was the typical home town umpiring that you receive.

It is 347-368 after today.

The thing that pisses me off is when commentators should be commenting on the typical home town umpiring but go on as if every decision paid is correct...I guess having one of the home team's supporters as the special comments man means the only criticism of the umpires which takes place is when the home team don't get one which should have been paid.

@#$%&! home town umpiring  :x
