Piss off. We don't want you there!

That's fine, we only need it for September.

You can have it from March-August

Funny how some think that's so funny.

We've spent a lot more Septembers there than you have lately. But nice attempt at playground humour, it's obviously entertained usual suspects.

Carry on. :P

Nah, we're happy sharing with Melbourne and Richmond. It's more roomy that way.

That's good. Can you tell me what you have to show for it?

I've seen Elle MacPherson naked. But I haven't, well, you know...

That wasn't your original statement cb. I can only reply to what is posted. I'd hazard a guess we've played HEAPS more games in September than you have.

But nice change of tact.

Feel better? 8)

Semantics mandy. ;)

If my club had wasted so many opportunities at the final hurdle, I'd get bogged down in them too.

Maybe you should start all your arguments with "We've won 2 more flags than you" just to put all mine in their place.

That'll shut me up.

You forgot, we've been crap for so many years and yet we have still won a flag more recently than your mob.

The only thing that will make the last few years feel better is #17.

We do still have a long, long way to go. But we're moving in the right direction. It shouldn't bee too long now.

Anyway, back to topic.

You could have made a deal years ago to make the MCG home. But unfortunately at the time, your boss at that time was being paid by those supplying $25 pies to the crowds at the dome. He didn't want to pass on the sell out crowds your club could provide to purchase said pies.

Funny what a difference a few years makes.

Two pies..............

two small waters.....................................sixteen $'s 20 cents......!

whenever i buy anything at the Dome.........i turn to the cashier
and say.........."that's cheap............that's very cheap"................!

kindest regards tommi

and i've also tried to break down the 2 pies and two small
waters at 16 twenty................!

that'd make it four dollars and 5 cents a product...........!

that's very cheap............!

True, but the poor timing happened before Collo's presidency ... big mistake from Jack et al there.

It would have been nice to have had a president with vision, rather than bluster. In hindsight Collo lacked vision as well, but I can excuse his actions given the club's parlous financial state at the time.

Mind, one of the biggest detractors to our Dome tenancy was that we played the ground so poorly. At least in beating the Dogs there we have shown that's another problem that is well on the way to being solved.

It must be galling for the MCC not only to have a liability like Melbourne at the ground, they also expect extra money from them because 5000 years ago, they were the same organisation.
If the MCG could get more Carlton games, it would benefit everyone.

You could argue it's good to have experience at both the dome and the MCG.
