the last five weeks being about losing....

I miss that friendly banter about the glories of losing versus meaningless wins.

I miss scouring the papers/websites searching for the information on who we should take at 1.

I miss being able to go to a game knowing we'd lose.

I miss getting behind and staying there or getting in front and not staying there.

I miss the debates about our unworthiness as compared to the bummers unworthiness.

I miss not having depth

I miss the press having a red hot go at how shithouse we are

I miss those waving wooden spoons like poppies in the fields of France.

I miss my son not wanting to go to the football

I miss having no midfield

I miss having no defense

I miss those glorious 100 point losses and almost negative rating percentages.

I miss the good old days when we knew where we stood, what we were doing, where we were going, who we were getting. Simple times for a simple man.

So, basically, you miss feeling like how St Kilda supporters have always felt?

i do feel your pain, danny boy. i too, miss those things.

i also miss not having to write in my footy record for the first quarter

i miss not having sore hands from clapping so much

i miss having a voice after match day

i miss wanting to kill my friends after they bag me for another loss

i miss not having to buy the papers to avoid reading the press' negativity

i miss pouring over the team list to see who to de-list, and where the improvement comes from

i miss having to go to a bullants match to just watch a win

ahhhh, for the good old days.....

but i have a solution - bring back pagan, livingston, O'rielly, Mick martyn, keep ackland and resign whitnal as a fitness coach

and we must get rid of those players who are spoiling the party - get rid of Judd, Murphy, Stevo, Fev, Krooze, and that bloody Gibbs - who does he think he is, playing that good?????

the other things that irrits me is that we will never see another time like the last couple of years in our lifetimes, and we might even win one of those darned 'premierships' that they all rave about - bugger that!!!!!

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
