Can I change my mind?

That's 3 games Wiggo has helped inspire a win this season, with this one being the creamer. 4 goals as aHF to keep us in the game.

He may have just arrived.

May his spirit live. Keep him

i've also changed my mind and i'm not embarrassed to see it, i was rapt to see wiggins have a good 100th game because no one deserves it more than him. give him a one-year contract and then re-assess at the end of next year.

He certainly proved his detractors wrong tonight. I haven't seen them all, but probably the best game he has ever played.

Was anyone anywhere near the Carlton cheersquad today?

Did you hear a guy crapping on about Wiggins?

"Give Wiggins 5 years"

"Who needs Fev, we have Wiggins!"

"I love you Wiggo!"

Hilarious.

Interesting comments by Robert Walls, he said as Carlton become's a better team, it become's aparent that players like Wiggins and Bentick are just not good enough and I tend to agree. Wiggins cost us a couple of goals last week, big error's in a 2 point loss. I never thought I'd see him reach 100 games, not really happy about it but you got to admire his determination.

So Wiggo cost two goals? That means the other 16 were caused by other people.
Delist the lot of them.
Wiggo has won us two gamers this year IMVHO by doing critical things at the right time. He's in good form and for the first time has a reasonable team around him. Let's see how he finishes out the year and make an objective decision.
Yes, 'objective'. Look it up. (a general comment not aimed at you in particular, Bax.)

I've always looked at Wiggins objectively. Let's face facts, he has been a battler and is lucky to be on the list. The fact the his is a great clubman is the only reason he is still here.

In saying that, I am happy to have egg on my face after his performance against the Bulldogs. If he keeps playing like that, not necessarily kicking four goals a game, but contributing and stop making silly mistakes then I'll become a fan. Unlike some on here, I don't want any of our players to be bad.

Well done to Wiggo, great game.

His performance last night should get him another season . He kept us in the game in the first half , and did his share in the second half when we got on top . Well done Wiggler . Hope to see him kept on the list . Definately adds depth and experience to a young list .

Robbo is on the bandwagon now:

"And he brought the noise, too, as only Fev can do.

Less so did the "Chief", although he was just as important. Wiggins had his four goals when Fev only had two - while Fev won it, the Chief kept the Blues in it.

And it might just land him another contract. What do you reckon, coach?"

Have always liked Wiggo and he is maturing like a fine old scotch whiskey.

Note it takes at least 8 years for a scotch to be any good.

...and the problem with that is...?

From now July 27th should be "National Wiggler Day".....and I think we should sign him for 10 years a la Alistair Lynch whilst the price is low!

...seriously you have to love supporters with their heart on their sleeve

There are 6 other players that should go before Wiggins, and putting all the mirth aside Wiggins has been one of our better forwards, particularly over the last 6 weeks. Add the clear affection they have for him plus his hardness he is worth keeping on the list. No other club would pay for him or would value him so he would be a relatively cheap option in the forward line.

I think Wiggins is the type of player who should only get 1 year contracts but you never know given the youth of the list they may stick with him for 2.

Definitely give him another year.
I actually like him up forward. He's a decent size, has a great pair of hands and is one of our better kicks. Always looks like he's gonna do something up there.
Go the Wiggler! :-D
