The pies can do whatever the @#$%&! they want with the Lexus centre, it''ll still be a joke of a place with no heart and no history!

I'd be furious if i was a pies supporter to leave my traditional ground at Victoria Park and move OUT of Collingwood and across town all for the sake of cash!

Princess Park is Carlton...........At least our new place will still have the feel of being a suburban football club enriched with well over 100 years of history.

anyone know more about this written by greg denham:

Quote:
That Collingwood and Geelong have joined forces in an attempt to hijack next year's Easter MCG blockbuster from Carlton and Richmond.

The Magpies and the Cats want the match, on the eve of Good Friday, to be an annual marquee event, and Collingwood president Eddie McGuire said the clash had the approval of the Seven Network, the AFL broadcaster.

Tony Shaw said in Easter this year that the Carlton vs Richmond game won't happen because Collingwood had already made the move before us.

March 2009, just in time for the start of the footy season.

Get ready for the Etihad Blues.

Good news. The new facilities look good and are desperately needed and as reported be on par with anything we've seen in AFL taking the Carlton Football club to another level.

Saying that the pies have big plans for the Lexus centre. Plans to build facilities like never seen before in this country. From what i've been told they're planning to build some high performance sports centre with the latest in technology in regards to body movement science. There are negotiating the VIS and a University to build this site.

Yet the Pies will still have to train on a crap oval

That's a perfect fit when Etihad don't have a Kangaroo on their plane.

The Pies can afford to do a number of things we can't as their trophy cabinet costs are far smaller.
