You're up early/late Jars. No excuse for me - 9:03am in sunny San Diego.

Yeah, it wasn't Fev so it won't even raise a ripple amongst the AFL community. Just the way it should be :wink:

TFS arranged all of that which was obvious. I wouldn't mind if that was Fev, infact, I'd find it pretty funny.

Brown does not go on the footy show and scoff when asked if he'd consider a 1 or 2 year contract.

Scoff!!

The difference is only subtle, but that's what Fev lacks, subtlety.

Just watch how Brown acts last night and he handles it better than Fev. Fev is way of the Brown's league and I laugh when people compare them.

Brown was very humble and almost embarassed by the carry on last night, what a champ. He isn't going anywhere.

Higgens & a first pick for Fev?

We only gave up pick 3, Kennedy and pick 20 for CHRIS BLOODY JUDD for christ sake.

No way in hell the bulldogs will give up their youth.

Their first round pick maybe. But Higgens, Ray and their first round and we'd be laughing to the bank.

All depends how their style of play and lack of tall forward options goes in the finals. If it all ends like it did in WC 2 years ago then they might bite big time.

Considering some very very handy footballers at the kennel will retire in the next year or two i wouldn't be so sure :wink:

I couldn't give a $hit what Brown does he doesn't play for us so therefore doesn't make OUR club look like his own personal joke a couple of times a year.

Newsflash!!!!!!!!!! This thread isn't about Johnathon Brown :roll:

Brown = Mature

Fev = Infant

On and off the field.

Both have great ability, Fev will probably have a longer career, Brown more valuable to a team.

Put your thinking caps on...who do we want from the Dogs...???

We could get alot from them...

higgins+ray+1st round pick

ray to freo for warnock

so in summary
Fev -> higgins+warnock+pick 14ish (dogs 1st round)

No chance! Why would the Dogs do that? they would get him to nominate for the national draft and hope he lasts til their first round pick. Their biggest threat in the ND is Sydney, but they would need to free up a heap of cap space first.

If the dogs chose to trade, at best they would offer their 1st pick, plus and average player as compensation for not getting Fev to nominate for the draft.

no chance of Fev getting past the demons in the ND (they have salary and NEED a big name signing). In the even that he did get past, the crows/saints/richmond would pounce beforehand. If the dogs (or sydney) wanted Fev they would have to trade for him

The demons are not going to waste their first pick on Fev (pick 1 or 2) in the ND, but he could slip through to picks over 10, which is why we have to re-sign him.

Gotta love what you read in some cases. Brown's contract negotiations have been going on longer than Fev's but that's ok he's Jonathon Brown. But when Fev's goes on for ages he's the worst in the world. Fev hasn't created the circus, he's said nothing. Even on TFS he said he wasn't discussing his contract. He actually had to ring MMM very angrily to reveal his intentions to cut the speculation. Then the dopey dicks of the world still put their own spin on it depending on their agenda. Basically he got in more sh1t saying nothing. But, of course it's different because it's Fev. People are simply way too stupid and think way too simple to see the difference between perception and reality. It's why you wouldn't give 75% of opinions the time of day. Fev's contract has been one big media circus created by the media because they were getting very little from the player or the club at the time.

Fev did not scoff at a 1 or 2 year contract. He said he wouldn't be signing a 1 year contract. Thats because he hadn't been offered a 1 year contract ;)

Anyone who reckons there is a difference between Fev and Brown in their contract negotiations is kidding themselves.

Brown may be one of the Top 5 players in the AFL now, but he knows where his body will be in 3-4 years time (check out the quick demise of similar players in Brereton and Carey if you don't know) thats why he's sticking out for a 5 year contract.

Two BIG differences between the two, their missus and their managers!

Well, I'd hope they had a different missus...last thing we need is another scandal :wink:

Besides that, I don't see any difference. Tell me what Fev has done that Brown hasn't, in terms of the negotiation process?
