Not generally one for big statements by imho, by the end of their careers Gibbs will be considered to have been a better than Judd.

There I've said it.

i remember after about 6 rounds last season i said gibbs would one day be the best player in the comp. even i am surprised at how much he's developed since then and while i don't think he will go down a better player than judd, i wouldn't be at all surprised if he did.

i don't know if he'll go down as better than judd. but gibbs is something special. i am already getting excited about his prospects for next year. i can't wait to see him with another preseason under his belt. he is already virtually untackleable (if that is a word). i love the kid

I know this kid has some special qualities and can understand your thinking but how bout we let the kid progress with his development with out statements like that after 4 great games in a row.

Funny how Carlton supporters are the best at talking up there players as the next best thing since sliced bread.

We'll wait for the Juventus supporters to do it for us

Just quietly...I think he is the next best thing since sliced bread. :P

Keep him involved in the play (not stuck deep in defence) and he will bring so much pleasure to Blue's supporters in years to come.

No, it just seems that way from a bloke who doesn't have a good thing to say about anything ;)

There's one thing standing between Judd and another Brownlow: his teammate!

... that can only be a good thing. :)

You can't underestimate Murphy though - he reminds me more and more of williams each week, just the way he is making more and more time for himself and his decision making is almost always on the ball.

Gibbs is a freak - Murphy Magic is something to behold!

I can't wait till Kruizer gets a another 20 games under his belt - those 3 combined, with Judd still on board will give us a fully potent midfield - possibly one of the best that's gone around for a long, long time! Probably not dissimilar to that of brisbane in the early 00's,

These last couple of games have been frustrating and i think the decision to hold off on Fev's contract negotiations till the end of the season is the right one as it's been a major distraction for the whole team I reckon.

I think now that our finals campaign is over we can relax a bit and get some really good games under the belts of the youngun's coming through, and be a bit sparing in terms of the way we run out Judd and others who are still dealing with injuries or are post surgery.

Next year is it - i'll be devistated if we're not finalists and if we can get a decent ruckman, the world's our oyster.

GO YOU BLUE BOYS!

Rich

Untackleable is a word. I just looked it up and guess what I found...

David Parkin once said they couldn't lay a tackle on Robert Harvey in a phone box - I reckon with Bryce Gibbs it would be a broom closet.

If he comes out of the broom closet, will there be anything wrong with that?

If he is as good as Judd in 3 years it will be awesome . We will still have Judd [ in his prime ] , Murphy , who is also getting better , Kreuser , Grigg , Armfield , Jammo , all showing plenty , and will get better each year . etc , etc . Exciting !!!

GIBBS is looking good. And I think his slower than expected start in his debut season can be put down to his age. We basically have a Kreuzer aged draftee, but with a full year of senior AFL football behind him.

GIBBS!

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D ....Gibbs will be a "Gun" but lets not put undue pressure on the kid now that he is starting to blossom.....His development is coming along in leaps and bounds so let the kid keep developing without the pressure of being hailed as the next Judd....
